Are Wilson and every other racquet made in China?

Yes, and they are made by 2-4 main companies in China. So don' be surprised if Head racquets are made by the same machines in the same factory as Prince racquets....

Perhaps someone else here can tell you more.

I"m pretty sure almost all are made in China now. I'm pretty sure a lot of racquets have a "Made in ____" on it somewhere. There are some that say "Designed in ______ , Made in China", like Volkl. I'm not 100% sure so correct me if I'm wrong.

As I understand it even some of the Yonex frames are made in China, with the premium Yonex's made in Japan?

I believe ProKennex are made in other parts of Asia like Taiwan, but I haven't bought a newer model from that company in a while so they probably are made in China by now.

Yonex racquets are made in china but finalize in japan, so they are printed as 'made in japan'

little trick

Pro Kennex used to make Prince rackets and some others many years ago before they had their own brand.

Source?? I don't think it's that easy to circumvent country of origin (COO) laws. If that's the case, I'd think all the companies will be doing this. The main/major component of the product should be made in Japan in order to wear the 'Made in Japan' label. I can see small-time brands and importers doing something dodgy with the COO labeling, but not with Yonex's reputation on the line. This is my best guess... in order to compete, they outsource non-essential but labor intensive jobs to China. Yonex makes the graphite hairpin in Japan with imported raw material from China, then sends the naked hairpins to China for finishing (ie. sand, prime, paint, decals, grommet, grip mold, grip wrap and packaging accessories). Then the finishing factory from China ships the finished stock to distribution centers round the world for re-distribution. Again, I have no evidence of this as I'm just taking a stab at how they can produce a racquet in Japan and sell it at a competitive retail price as racquets made in China. I'd love to find out the truth about this. I'd be surprised to find out 'Made in Japan' Yonex racquets are in deed made in China and finished in Japan.
