McEnroe smokes at a dinner?

I guess fame does that to you if you weren't such a great person to begin with. I really doubt Nadal does any sort of drugs like this or Federer especially. Those two have their priorities straight. If one of them writes a book like open in the future then I will really have NO idea what to expect of anyone anymore.

Dudes...it's just a joint. Relax. Who gives a ****? It's like having a drink. And I don't do drugs at all (or even really drink much) but come on...

And for your info, Tatum had a serious problem with a serious drug addiction. Big difference compared to passing around a J at a dinner party.

shouldn't this thread be moved to the 'current dope smokers' section?

lets see . . . open-collared funky shirts, bead necklaces, guitar player, musician wife, art afficionado, former studio 54 regular . . . didn't exactly take an fbi profiler to see this one coming.

gee whiz, man tokes on some weed and he is the antichrist. where is your outrage for the 75,000 to 100,000 alcohol related deaths each year. i guess those deaths do not count because your booze is legal. HYPOCRITES!!!!!!!!!!

Uhh..Yeah, you're right. I forgot about all the alcohol related driving deaths compared to the all the weed-driving deaths. You're right, booze is much worse.

And if you were talking about what his ex was doing - do some research.

And by the way - it's "no, it's not - not "know it's not".

Considering what Tatum O'Neal was known for...

True but that kind of makes McEnroe a hypocrite. He did coke before and now as a respected tennis commentator and player doing drugs in public is nothing but damage to his public image.

McEnroe...he is an enigma wrapped in a conundrm..

In one post, the members of these boards (including this rabbit) are lauding his game as the most beautiful thing to ever grace a tennis court

In the next, we criticize his form as awkward and totally wrong....

In another, we praise his competitive fire and hate relationships with Lendl and Connors....

But then McEnroe turns the tables and with his fiercest and best rival, Bjorn Borg, he shows the most respect.....

Now McEnroe has turned another corner...

I will say this about that...McEnroe's drug use in the 70's was totally different than Agassi's use of crystal meth...drug use in the 70s, for those of us who were there, was accepted and seen as acceptable as alcohol...we know now that SOME drugs are not good for you...i.e. cocaine & LSD...and McEnroe largely kept his mouth shut about it...

Now for marijuana....

I have, over the years, seen drunks at football games get into fights over nothing....I have myself been intoxicated at sporting events in college and roostered just about to the point of getting my ass whupped or vice versa...

Has anyone ever seen two stoners get in a fight? Well, I have, but it was over the last oreo and we...ehhhhh.....they came up with a solution.....let's split it!

Marijuana should be legal, it's better for you than alcohol, less invasive physically, and makes music sound a whole lot better.....

Oaksterdam, here I come.....

It's a shame about both. Not the drug use, but that it's even an issue. And why were they even testing for meth? (or cocaine, Gasquet) They don't enhance performance. It's so irrelevant. Why is it necessary?

Maybe you need to REREAD my post. You should know it's not. Put down the pipe Professor Pothead!

Dude...Tatum's dad hit on her at his long-time girlfriend's funeral....who wouldn't have issues?

That is true - her life hasn't been idyllic, to say the least :( (Child actor in those days? Never stood a chance. In tennis terms, she was down 2 sets already.)

Referring to the OP though, from what I recall Tatum's drug use was far more severe than Mac's (remember hearing reports that she got him started on coke, actually). If he's gotten off hard drugs, and he doesn't know if she has, I honestly can't blame him.

It's not as if he's bustin' out a needle and shooting up. It's a joint. Give the guy a break.
