The bancroft slingshot was a very unusual Spring Loaded vintage racket design.

An aluminum racquet with a series of 4 steel springs at 3, 9 and 12 o'clock position, see pics. In theory, the strings would preload the springs for explosive power. A truely innovative racket for it's time. Open throat yoke for enlarged sweet spot and increased racket speed. "The Slingshot's springs compress on impact, hold for an instant then release the ball with explosive power."

Hi Joe, found a slingshot with cover in great condition, has decals still. Any idea of worth? I've only seen two in my lifetime. Let me know. Take care, kj

I think they should be worth lots of $$$ being that they are soo scarce. Guess we both have one for sale now. Finding the right collector buyer who appreciates the value is not easy. I have not listed my Slingshot on any sales sites but if I did I would set a nice price or high reserve to insure a minimum sale price. I for sure need better pictures.
