Anybody been able to order and receive strings lately, looks like the site is up,but getting orders is another thing , I wish TW would start stocking strings again ,anybody know where the strings come from ( outside this country?) hey laserfibre ( tim) if your looking ,whats up we want to help you guys out .

I was researching stringing machines and the Laserfibre came up really high (based on its Stringway roots). I called the company and they talked me into placing a "shipping reservation hold" for a spot in the shipping queue for a big batch of machines they would be shipping in 2 weeks. They took no billing information from me - just my name, address, and email - and indicated that there was no commitment on my part whatsoever, so it seemed like a no-brainer. They also said they would be dropping their price to $499 with free shipping, even though the website still says $589.
An hour later they emailed me my "confirmation." It was a pdf that looks exactly like an real order (the name of the file is SalesOrder####.pdf) for $499. Oh and they back-dated the order to December 31. The explanation given in the email was that this would move me up in the shipping queue.
Maybe I'm paranoid, but something seems fishy. This is really questionable behavior, especially considering all of the troubling posts out there. Is it possible they are manufacturing fake orders to record phantom sales from last year?

I agree. And here is my latest experience with LF.
At first i placed order for some strings about a month ago over the phone. The guy assured me that i will get them in a day or two. They are only 2 hours away from where i live. So, 3 days go by, a week, 3 weeks. I give them a call. Same guy picks up and tells me that he will give me half of the original order at no charge as an apology for not sending my string.
All his happened last Wed. No strings yet...
Both time he very carefully took my credit card info. Good thing is they did not charge me.
If i do not get the string on Mon, i will not bother with them again and will send a formal complain to local BBB.
That is outrageous, twice, twice i called and was assured that string will go out same day. Makes me want to call them and tell them what i really thing of them, their company and that guy especially.
All seems to be fine with ordering grips (Feb. 2010)
I have ordered 6 TourFit TwinTone Reducing Grips (they were out of the Original ones) 10 days ago and received them in 4 days. Placed my order over the phone, spoke with a very knowledgeable person and all sounded leged, except when I asked if I could buy them in their shop at my next visit of Rhode Island. He said shipping (to ME) is less expensive than $7 charges they would have to add if getting the same order in person. I didn't go any further with questioning the $7 charge, since I don't plan visiting RI in near future. The grips are made in Taiwan.

Just made an order today, it was a phone order.The guy i talked to said that it will be shipped out today, only time will tell.
I let him know how many people are complaining about not getting orders+that his website will not accept payments.
He said they are working on the website.He also said that they just received a new shipment of strings+their waiting for their stringing machines to arrive.
I hope this is true,the laserfibre prostock string is the best string i have ever used.I think it plays better than natural gut.

Believe me i know about these orders not coming through.I made one in early January+never received it.
I happened to find one set of prostock that i had left.Strung my racket up with it+this is by far best string i have used in my wilson kobra.I forgot how great this string is.
So i am just praying that laserfibre gets its act together.

I ordered 7 TwinTone reducers around Sep09. Never received them, so I emailed Kathy in order to check what happened. She said that they would send me another 7 TT reducers, and never got them as well. I tried to reach her a few times this year, but no success.
Btw, I made one order around May09 and got my 7 LF Reducer Grips with no problems. I heard a rumor that they have gone bankrupt.

Before you guys get to the tough love part, keep a sharp eye out for any inventory on the premises; I would love to build a cache of tourfit grips and/or laserfibre classic sg, just a little nervous about what is actually in stock.
Such a shame, great products, friendly and informed people everytime I called. Seems like you can do everything right and still dump quite a few into the net.
