Why is it that the Women prefer to use full sets of Gut, over Poly(hybrids or full beds) while the men almost exclusively use Poly?

Thanks! Pictures of today on another site the strings look REALLY white. I wonder how gut plays in that humidity?

Many men hybrid with gut, and hit with more spin, and harder which necessitates poly hybrid or full poly. Women naturally hit flatter so gut fits them better.

What makes you say this?
Because of body mechanics, strength deficits (compared to men) they stand in generally closer and take the ball earlier. While there are exceptions, the women have flatter swing planes and generate less spin. Clijsters needs a high control string that gives her this advantage and not the pro-spin properties of a good poly.
VS Natural Gut is a perfect fit.

VS Gut is a powerful string especially when compared to a poly. VS Gut is also very easy on the wrist, arm, and shoulder because it is a very soft string. Cljister has on surgery on her wrist which I tend to think is a consideration to why she uses Gut. I found Poly strings to be harsh, low in power, and to be able to generate more spin.
May be wrong but I think Kim always used VS, as you said a great power string but also great for control as well, if that makes sense. I always felt I had both in the one string. Very rare.
