Someone chose Nadal for backhand and another for serve, I was like WTF??! You can only chose him once, lets go for mental strength, fitness, forehand, movement, anything BUT those two.

I liked a lot of the men composite choices, its kind of hard to only pick some players for one thing, since Federer and Nadal especially could be used to fill more then one Category. Del Potro for forehand though? at his best his was good but as of right now I would not pick him for that shot out of all the players on the tour even if you save federer for another category (especially if you have to say when he's on...which lately he is not). Another that shocked me was Isner for mental toughness, sure Wimbledon last year was impressive but I don't know if I would put him there...thats just me though. Finally for the men, while Fish is good at net...I wouldn't give it to him by default when you have both Bryan Brothers and even Paes still out there.

For the women...some of the choices just well..to me...I dunno. Sharapova or Jankovic for footwork? Sharapova is not now nor was she when she was winning slams the best mover. Movement wise she is like Lindsay Davenport, if you can get her on the run she can fall apart very easily and get wrong footed, when she is in complete control and making her opponent run its fine...but right now she cannot do that really consistently at all. Jankovic same thing, she can move, but it breaks down, the best mover to me would be clijsters, he movement is to me is the best part of her game, she has other good qualities (forehand, her return is good to), but her movement to me is the best. Another shock, 5 Schiavone Volley picks? I'm not saying she is not a good volleyer, she definitely is, but other players do come to mind as really good options (Black, who Lawrence named, Huber, Stubbs, Raymond). Interesting lists though, always nice to hear some expert opinions.

That guy also called Andy Murray's movement graceful >_>

Gonzalez for the best FH of 2011?? Not anymore surely.

Me:

Serve - Roddick (it's always on, he never seems to have a bad serving day)

Return game - Murray (it's just the best)

Forehand - Verdasco (when he's on, otherwise Nadal)

Backhand - Djokovic

Netplay - Federer

Fitness - Davydenko

Footwork - Federer

Mental Toughness - Nadal of course

Nothing particularly surprising there, but you asked for the best player possible...

Like the comment about Federer: "That wet patch you see on his shirtfront isn't sweat. It's condensation."
