the Town Sherif
Semi-Pro
Short story, I play a friend of mine couple times a month on Sunday nights. Usually he beats me pretty comfortably 3 and 4, if I do take a set off him it's a close one.
I usually play with either a pure storm gt or becker london against him. A couple days ago I strung up my old PS 6.0 95 and decided to paly with it against him for gits and shigggles.
I end up beating him 6-0, 6-1. Racquet felt like an extension of my hand. lunge shots were turning defensive shots into offense quickly. All of his power shots were returned back with pace and then some. Was able to place the ball any where in the box and move him around and keep him guessing.
Now I'm perplexed. I usually play with 11 oz racquets close to even balance and now here i'm playing my best I've had for a while with a 12 oz 11 pts headlight 95 in racquet.
Question: 1st off, how awesome is the 6.0 95 and why again did Wilson never expand on this awesome line like it did the 6.1 and 2, can this experience be written to just new honeymoon feel with the racquet or is there something more with this spec I should explore.
