Clement beat Gasquet (2005 and 2006 Nottingham champion) 6-4, 6-3, and Gasquet was annoyed afterwards, as a 2-time defending champion, that he wasn't able to play the match on grass. Bjorkman beat Mathieu 2-6, 6-3, 6-4, and Tursunov beat Garcia-Lopez 4-6, 6-3, 7-5. That was then followed later that Friday with the semi finals, Clement beating Bjorkman 6-2, 6-4, and Karlovic beating Tursunov 7-5, 6-4. On the Saturday, Karlovic won the tournament, beating Clement 3-6, 6-4, 6-4, in the final when they were back outdoors on the grass.

The following year, the 2008 Nottingham final was played on indoor hardcourt, because the Saturday was rained out. Karlovic retained his title by beating Verdasco 7-5, 6-7, 7-6.

And yes, why is this not on tennis channel? I'd rather listen to Frew on Eurosport anyway though.

Both players playing well, I'm particularly impressed with Tsonga. It's a shame he isn't a consistent player (over more than one tournament), for he's a a joy to watch when he's firing all cylinders.

serve seems best for Tsonga, amazing angles
however, volleying is very mediocre for both

It's about time he show what can he do on grass although he did play great at Wimbledon last year,was very close to reaching SF.

Yeah that point was amazing play from both guys,especially that Jo's lob after which Murray tried a BH overhead but Jo got to it and won the point.

the only problem : Tsonga just depends too much on self confidence! there is no plan b for lower points in the match!

Some good serving from Murray to get out of this one,he seems to be controlling points better with his FH than usual at Queens this year.
