I'm really diggin' Tecnifibre MultiFeel 17g!

This is a high quality string that plays crisp, very controlled, not overpowering at lower tensions, doesn't move much, arm friendly and seems to be durable. And did I mention it costs half of what my favorite string (X-One) costs?

For those looking for a quality multi at a reasonable price, it may be worth a try.

Valjean, it was actually your advice that pointed me toward trying Addiction and MultiFeel. I tried Addiction first and didn't like it too much as MultiFeel. Anyway, thanks!

Where do you get it for half the cost of X-1 biphase? At TW, X-1 is 15, and multifeel is 10.

I'm living in the Euro zone. TW Europe has X-One for €22 and Multifeel for €10. In the local shops X-One costs €25 and MF costs about €14-15.

Multiply the € times 1.5 and you see how expensive strings are here in Europe! X-One was starting to drain my bank account!

X-One is amazing, but some of these prices are unbelievable. Multifeel is great in thinner gauge for sure.

Ken, I'm from Denmark in Scandinavia. Let's find 3 other guys from Europe and let's buy strings together from TW USA. This will make the shipping costs pr. Person low and we can get a good discount from TW US, if we buy in bulk (I need new supplies of Babolat Vs 16, Vs 17, Tonic+ and some Recoil soon.
For some odd reason Signum Tornado and Hyperion strings at TW EUROPE is cheaply priced compared to what TW US charges for these strings, so I buy all my Signum strings at TW EUROPE from now on.

It has been a while since I used E-Matrix but I remember it was just okay and I broke it very quickly. I didn't find it that different from Prince Synthetic gut. The Multifeel seems to have some sort of finish that makes it stick to itself, if that makes sense. It makes for a unique feel, almost feels like the ball stays on the strings a little longer when bashing the ball. So far mine is lasting about 3 matches. I hit as hard as a 54 yr old man can hit with topspin, and am bad to shear strings off near the top of the frame, so you will probably get better durability.

I have been using Technifibre Synthetic 17 and it gives me only around 5-6 sets before it breaks. How long do you think will these multi-feel 17 last? If it doubles the durabilty, i can considers this string. :)

Well, I hit pretty hard with a lot of topspin and so far I have had the strings on for about 15 hours of play and they are still in decent shape and are playing really well still. Note that I have them strung at 55lbs (for elbow friendly comfort) and will last a bit longer at this modest tension.

I hear on this forum and on TW reviews that the TF syn gut has lousy durability. I suppose the MultiFeel will easily last 10-12 sets. Today in practice I spent two hours just nailing forehands and backhands down the line and the strings still are holding up nicely.

What multi-feel gauge do you use? 16 or 17?
Im torn between TF black code 18 or the multi-feel 17 on my next reel. For my racket, i use only 10m of string. That gives me 20 sets of string per reel. Thanks

is it as good or better than X-1 ?? Price doesn't matter to me..

I think good or better is subjective concerning strings. To me the difference isn't worth €15. Maybe the string experts can add something, but I don't notice an overwhelming good-bad difference.

Yes, I agree. I also have an experience with the TF synthetic 17g wherein after I had my racket strung in the pro shop, while driving to the court, it broke even without hitting... :( I tried Gosen OG Sheep 17 and its a better srting but it only last after 5-6 sets.

I hope TF Multi feel will double the durabilty.

After play-testing lots of soft multi's, I'm pretty sure I'm sticking with MultiFeel 17g. Tecnifibre discontinued my favorite string, their 515, a few years ago. Their TGV was supposed to be its replacement, but it felt and played like crap.
I found a place that sells MultiFeel by the reel, but for $140, that's no bargain. I'll just buy sets of it in the future.

Wow, I made this thread quite awhile ago. I still use Multifeel 17g but soon after I made this thread I upgraded racquets from the PD to the PSLGT. I am hitting much better now and harder with more spin and still get around 10 hours of good play out of these strings and they usually break at 15 or so hours.

For the quality/price ratio I don't think there is anything better than Multifeel. It retains tension really well, is very arm friendly, and plays really well at the lower end of tension ranges (i string at 23/22kg, or 50/48lbs), meaning it doesn't turn my racquet into a rocket launcher. I think it gives the perfect balance between control and power.

Strange to say, to me Tecnifibre's XR3--supposedly intended to replace an entirely different and firmer string--played closer to 515 than did TGV. And I made the comparison twice, at different intervals...

Guess I should of tried XR3 instead of wasting money on TGV. And now, XR3 is hard to find.
Yeah, I heard that MultiFeel's formula got changed awhile back---I think I got some of their latest batch, and it sure works for me.

Just got a racket restrung with Multifeel 17 since I have some string testing to do here shortly and wanted something cheap but decent until I'm able to get a batch of new strings and get half of them treated (probably a couple weeks). I have never used Technifiber before, but for a $10 string, I am rather impressed. Nice and crisp without being too hard. Doesn't necessarily look like it's going to be terribly durable, not quite as much feel as Gamma Professional, not as much pop as a decent Natural Gut, but at 2/5 to 1/4 the price it's not a string I'd complain about...

Yeah, I don't know how durable MultiFeel 17 will be, but at this point, I don't care. I've been trying various soft multi's for 2 years now, and my wallet is tired of it.

I've played with many multis, and MultiFeel is a winner! At $9.5 you can't go wrong...I wish it has better durability, but again, at this price level Multifeel rocks!

GS and Netguy - How does Multi-feel compare to say X1, NRG2, and Xcel Power? Is Multi-feel more on the soft side and what tension would you recommend stringing this at?

I'm using Multifeel 17g on my frames coming from NRG2 17g and think the multi feels a little softer and has somewhat better control. Though that could just be in my head as I'm liking that the multifeel cost me less to get restrung.
