"...interesting feature of the Vajda interview is the acceptance that Djokovic pushed himself too hard after Wimbledon, perhaps fuelled by the feeling of invincibility or tempted by the scent of history. "He wasn't paying attention to his body" says Vajda, candidly.
It was this admirable devotion to the practice court which Vajda believes contributed to Djokovic's shoulder problems which then persisted through until the end of the year and dented his season stats.

Wishful thinking from *******s. Djokovic is only 24 and has many years of top tennis left in him.:)

Since when has age got anything to do with tennis? Djokovic is a retirement machine. He holds the all-time record for most retirements. He even did it in the Davis Cup semis this year!

that literally has nothing to do with anything.

And most *******s are fine with Rafa continuing to play.. since he's going to lose majors to Djokovic all the time anyway.

I wonder if *******s are ok with Federer continuing to play, since he is likely to take Djokovic out before the final.

Since like uh....forever?:-?
Doesn't matter if Djokovic retired. What matters is that he knows how to win. Just like your beloved Rafa retired countless times.
Didn't he retire when getting crunched by Murray at AO '10 and decided to ruin Murray's victory by retiring when 0-3 down in the third set when he easily could've just stuck around for another 3 games, accepted the bagel and then taken a plane back to Spain?

Mike Sams, are you brave enough to say how many times Nadal has retired, and how many times Djokovic has retired?

Doesn't matter. What matters is that Nadal has retired many times. Against Monaco, Davydenko and Murray. Both Nadal and Djokovic have their flaws in that regard but Nadal abuses the rules more than most. Illegal coaching and ridiculous use of MTOs when he's in trouble.

Last you saw? So basically you didn't see USO 2011?

Last I saw, Federer got bounced from the AO and USO by Djokovic.

Last I saw,Fedrer bounced djokovic from RG and ended is streak and nearly bounced him out again in U.S open..I cannot imagine what kind of dilemma you fed fans boys are in!

Are you suffering from partial blindness??You have forgotten to read my second part of the post..

No matter how much I dislike a player but I never call any player by such dumb names, that's why she is getting banned from time to time.:)

Quite the character it would appear, this Clarky21.

Novegg Cpossumvac, possible new name for the growing legend?

I jest.

First we need to get djorde's Authorization and then Clarky needs to sign "MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING",to make a suggestion in his twitter...heck,such a long process..

Given the sheer quality of the alias, it's worth all the effort!

Hilarious to know that I evoke such a strong response from some of you on here. It's entertaining to say the least.

And Tushy,my nicknames for Djokovic are no worse than some of the people on here calling Nadal "******","Baldal",or "Piggy". Maybe you should also Tweet those fantastic, witty nicknames to Nadal's Twitter as well.

Oh,and don't forget "Rafail" and "Dopedal" as well.

Cheers. I'll be uploading some soon that involve Nadal, but unfortunately for you it will be a 3 part series about Nole's victory in the US Open 2011 Final. But still, part 2 is really pro Nadal. If he starts churning out the victories again next year no doubt i'll be making vids of him, as I like to make vids mainly on my fave player and whoever else is making big waves.

Highest genius.

Kishnabe, since I am not a mind-reader I don't know, maybe you would like to tell me. Are you brave enough to say how many times Nadal has faked injury, and how many times Djokovic has faked injury?

Are you brave enough to tell us how many times you have faked...yourself?

Those of you who can't accomplish anything in the world of sports come on message boards and make idiotic statements about those who do. Talk about bottom of the barrel.

Djokovic, and most of the top players, are extremely competitive and all push themselves beyond what their bodies allow. This extraordinary drive is the reason they are on top of the world and also the reason they slip from that position every so often only to come back stronger. I believe any of the top 4 players could finish #1 next year.

I don't expect those who haven't accomplished anything at the professional level in sports to understand the dynamics involved. The first post you see after a sub par performance of a top tennis player is "He's done". What a joke.
