Should a 14 year old tennis player have a blonde girlfriend or a brunette?
Should a 14 year old tennis player have long hair or short?
Should a 14 year old tennis player ride a Fuji or a Trek bicycle?
Heck, should a 14 year old ride a mountain bike or a road bike?

When I was 14....
I chased blonds, hoping my sports prowess would help. It didn't.
Long hair to my shoulders.
Never rode a bike until I had raced roadracing for two years, 10 races.
Road to roll the dice with cars, mountain to crash repeatedly going too fast for my skill level downhill.

LOL ok well . . . . . Talking about what he was asking, you did not give us ANY info about how you play at all, THUS, you are not getting PROPER answers.
Here's your IMPROPER answer : < A junior tennis player shall use a 7 oz racquet with a 135 head size, 0/8 grip, a plus plus plus size racquet ( You know, if your a junior your small so when you need to get the tennis balls over the net you don't need to bend over as much to reach it! ) > There's your answer.

Seriously, The kSurge is a good value when moving up towards a tweener racquet, but we really need more info than just your age!

Knowing your height and that you play high school tennis doesn't help us out too much. I've seen a 5'0" woman swing a 6.1 with no issues and a ton of tall guys using Ti.S1s. High school tennis can also mean blue chip recruit or Sunday dink-around player. What's your game style, strengths, preferences in a racquet, and do you have access to demos?

Additionally, those racquets are very far apart. While both are stiff, the Surge is light, head heavy, and large in the head, while the 6.1 is heavy, head light, and has a little more compact of a head size. You're comparing a wiffle bat to a scalpel.

Firstly unless you are a very good junior i.e. maybe someone in the 4.5-5.0 range then the BLXPS95 may not be for you however since you have chosen these two racquets and look set on wanted either one a good suggestion is to demo them for a long time and see which one fits your game best. Now I have also put a poll on best racquet um and people have also said don't go BLXPS95 its not going to be good for you. However I won't know that until I demo it and it proabably won't fit my game yet! But just know that in the future you maybe able to play with the frames that you like. So on that note try the BLX surge if you have th extra money since it has better technology howevedr many people are sticking with the K Factor line just because the BLX line have some differences in spec that completely thrown people off from it due to it not fitting their game even though it has better technology

Hope this helped and I don't mean to be a know it all just demo remember only you can decide even after all our opinions.
