Gamma X-2 tension bar markings

Hello,

I need help from GammaTech or anyone else that might know about the markings on the tension bar of the Gamma X-2 machine.

I read the manual and it says that you use both weights for tensions between 20 and 90 lbs. I gather you use the marking on the tension bar that goes from 20 to 90.

The manual also said you can just use the smaller weight for tensions between 8 and 20.

There are 2 other markings on the tension bar where one goes from 4 to 12 and the other goes from 10 to 40

My questions are,

1. Which of the 3 markings do I use with just the smaller weight ?

2. Are all 3 markings in lbs or something else?

3. When would you use the other 2 markings?

Thanks for any help as it is driving me crazy trying to figure it out.

Do you know or can guess which one is in K and which marking(s) I would use with just the small weight?

I gather they didn't think anyone would just use the small weight and thus didn't give information as to what set of markings to use with it.

you don't have to guess.... take the largest markings and divide those by 2.2..... the corresponding number/scale is the kg scale..... the remaining scale will be the badminton scale.

example..... go to the 60 mark..... 60/2.2 ~ 27.3 ---> the scale that has 27.3 directly across from 60 is your kg scale.....

I looked even closer at the tension bar and found that it actually had

1. One line with increments with the numbers 20 to 90 on top and the numbers 8 to 26 on the bottom. This is in pounds and the top one was for both weights together and the lower with just the smaller weight.

2. A second line with increments with the numbers 10 to 40 on top and the numbers 4 to 12 on the bottom. This is in kgs and the top one was for both weights together and the lower with just the smaller weight.

My tension bar was installed into the tensioning unit with the pounds units facing upward and the kgs units facing downwards. You could turn it around if you wanted to work in kgs instead of pounds.

Anyways, all is well now and thanks again for making it all clear.
