all canucks there is a warranty in Canada
Emailed asics asking why they don't honour the warranty as per the USA
I was quickly replied with YES we do only in the gR4's
so keep your recipts
i can go threw the soles in a weekend, but well worth it considering youre walking on a cloud

asics shoes rock! Have had lots of their Kayanos. But would like to know what you think of SFX, I have Propulse 3 as Contract shoe but also interested in SFX as it is supposedly softer, more comfortable ride?

This shoe is causing me a great deal of pain.
I love love love any shoe that looks different. I don't know why -- it just energizes me.
Trouble is, I have five pairs of Prince T22s in service right now (although two are ready for the dust bin). I was never a big fan of the Resolution.

I wear nothing but ASICs. I love 'em. And I, too, love any shoe that flips the bird at convention.
I just don't love the idea of paying $120. For any shoe.

Hey guys. Just have a question about the GR4. I have always wanted to try some asics but haven't because I have never had a shoe better than Nike or adidas. So...
#1- how is the cushioning on these shoes, particularly heel?
#2- how is the durability on these shoes? Note: I play about 20 hrs a week on hard courts that are pretty gritty.

Cushioning is superb.
Durability is less than adidas and Nike, but they out do them in other categories to easily compensate.

I agree.
The cushioning is why many choose ASICs. The durability used to be terrible. But they improved it for generation 3/8 or the Resolutions/Challengers. The Games still wear pretty quickly in my opinion.
Might give them a try...

Is this Europe Exclusive? I dig the bright red, didn't much care for the brick red of the GR3.
I hear you, but remember $120 is really on $60 per shoe if you play often thanks to the wear warranty.

Actually, I don't hate them...definitely works on the "High Visual Clutter" scale...just not sure I can pull off that look at 47...
Age is just a number. I'm 37 and am very tempted by these. My only confusion is to size down or stay the same size. Guess I could just order both and send the ones back that don't work.

119 $ is a VERY good price for this shoe! Here in Sweden, the normal Gel Res 4 is about 1400 SEK (around 200 US $) :shock:

Cost of living tends to be quite high in Sweden.
Lovely country but go into a normal bar in Stockholm, and a pint of Coca-Cola will be the equivalent of $6-$7.

Seeing them in that setting, they seem like they'll work well with white and green shorts and shirts. I was worried maybe I'd look like a clown on the court, but they're not nearly as bad without the women's colors and confetti all around.

Got these shoes today and played 4 sets. Felt great and looked ugly ... er awesome
Anywho, I went 1/2 size small and wished I had not. They are fine, I will play them and wear them out ... but the extra 1/2 size would be just a little more comfy ...

It seems that people with wider feet should stay with their normal size,
and people with normal to narrow feet should go 1/2 size down.

This is not true for me. I have narrow feet and they fit true to size to me.

I'm only seeing a white square with a red cross.
I hope not Europe only. Those are the best colors I've seen so far for the GR4.

Not true for me also ... while I have large feet (size 13) they are not wide for their size ... every time I have ever been fit my feet have been long and lean ... just like I wish I were.

Those are the best so far. That probably means Europe only.
I like them. Conservative but not boring. Classy looking in a restrained way, though I'd like to see a bit more gold in the colorway.
There's also a women's version of this which has a identical colorway as the men's. Speaking to a retailer friend of mine though, he's not going to stock them because doesn't think that colorway is going to sell that well to women.
Absolutely LOVE what Asics are doing at the moment with the range of GR4 colorways being offered. I just wish all the colorways were available equally in US and Europe.

I know. I have made it my personal goal to get each one of the colorways released, but international shipping is a beast.
