Courtesy of the idiotic women who shouted "out" during a very crucial point in the second set tie break. :)

That was flipping brilliant! I only saw it just now during the replay on ITV4, but wow

I think he was as angry when the same thing happened in that Wimbledon final in 2008 though.

Clearly this is the most classy and elegant athlete to ever grace our sport.

Someone give him another Edberg award.

=\

Wow he kind of looked a bit scary there for a second when they slowed it down.

But as others have said, am glad to have seen some emotion, he needed it to wake up. Also you can clearly hear someone yell "out" before the ball ever hit the ground on Del Potro's side, I'd been pissed to, but unlike Roger I think I would said something a bit different. (worse that is).

Best part of the match IMO, Fed threatening that woman with his pimp hand and at the same time showing them that this will go to five. :)

Also, who the hell designed Fed's shirt? It looks like he has pigeon droppings on his left shoulder.

Hey, maybe he got everyone in that section of the crowd some ice cream to smooth things over once he closed out the 5th...

Jesus christ this is the greatest thing ever. I can only imagine how many times this will be used on the boards here for the next few matches at RG.

next few matches? this is going to a lifetime staple around here. I predict 40% of the avatars derived from this. that's conservative. between this and Mitch Kupchak, life for Internet addicts has gotten very interesting.

I love it when he's angry like that. Shows people not to mess with him. I bet a little bit of pee came out of that woman when he yelled at her. lol

no, that would be the athlete who chimed in with the classy "10 slams" response when asked what's the difference b/n him and a fellow athlete..

and he rightly won ZERO edberg awards (and ZERO french opens, if I may add..).

Pretty funny stuff from Fed though.

Exactly, that's all I'm getting at. Not to mention, telling someone else's parents to shut up is definitely a few rings down in the inferno compared to this. :D

Guys like fed_rulz have their undees in a twist.

He switched from being calm ,cool and collected to intense, the first time I seen him come back from a set down and match point was the shanghai masters 1000 playing andy roddick, he used his back hand to turn it around, he threw his towel down while sitting in the amusement park seats they provided.

Cheers

My tennis, I feel like I'm the dutch boy plugging holes in the dike, fortunately I have ten finger and ten toes to get the job done. :)

Last year it was the finger wag... now we have another of Fed's emotional outbursts go viral.

What a time to start showing such emotion on the French Open... had he been more able to channel that anger he would have at least 1 or 2 more French Opens from Rafito.

No one ****s with pissed Federer.

Yup, that was bloody awesome :). Fed's a legend.

I think it was awesome too.

Idk if you notice this, Zagor, but Djokovic can be pretty darn funny with his anger-filled moments on court. However, there is a double standard that exists on this forum; every time Djokovic shows emotion, people in the match threads call him out for being "fakerovic" "classless". I don't see many people doing that for Federer. Maybe it is because Federer shows anger so infrequently.

Wow Federer should be remove from his ATP ranking, give back all his awards and recognition, his twins should be removed from his care, he should be put under psychological evaluation in the same cell with the remains of Osama BL, Hitler, Gaddaffi and with his fellow masters of all evil Mubarak, Kony, Ahmadinejad and Kim Jong-un.

Well, there there's a double standard no doubt but it's also as you said due to the fact that 99% of the time Fed has a poker face on while Novak is constantly showing emotion (whether negative or positive) in his matches, though there was a time when Fed was a complete emotional headcase and I'd like to see more such stuff from him on court because it entertains me (don't really give a crap if he wins an Edberg award or not).

Regarding Novak, from what I've observed over the years he plays his worst tennis when he doesn't show any emotion, when he looks like a lifeless zombie on-court. Whenever he's cursing, yelling, breaking racquets etc. I know he's still in the match and can turn it around.
