Never.

Ivanisevic better groundstrokes, better serve, better volleys. Only thing Ivanisevic lacks compared to Isner is what between his ears.

I rather have Ivansevic even if he is a headcase. Die by Goran hands is better than Isner who looks he doesn't care when he steps on court!

What a stupid thread.

Ivanisevic was top 5, top 10 player for so many years in the 90's.

We might as well compare Wawrinka to Moya or Kafelnikov.

Obviously Ivanisevic. He is seriously underrated by some people. He was volatile, but was consistent for many years on the tour, and was capable of beating anybody at any time. He finished in the top 10 in six calendar years.

Dumb dumb thread. Even if Isner wins a slam (very unlikely IMO) will he reach 4 slam finals, and the semis or better of all of the French, Wimbledon, or U.S Open.

Game wise the only thing Isner does better is the forehand perhaps.

Ivanisevic has arguably the greatest first serve in history of tennis. Greatest second serve is definitely Sampras imo.

Right now, his career highs are about as impressive as Jan-Michael Gambill's (ATP titles, GS best performances), although Isner's been slightly higher in the rankings. If you're looking for a 1990s serve volleyer for him to aspire to, I think Tim Henman or Todd Martin is a bit more realistic.

Oh my god, really? Junk like this gets on the thread column? I want you to go to your public library, pull up some archival Goran footage, then watch a bit of Isner and use your BRAIN, rub those brain cells together (i know foreign, right?) then ask yourself if you could really equate Goran to Isner. Look yourself in the mirror while you do this and try not to look away.

Can we get a thread filter to delete dumb stuff like this? It's becoming more prevalent.

I'm starting to realize why kids nowadays are testing so low in public schools.
