After Federer, Djokovic is my second favorite player.. and no, I'm not a recent fan of Djokovic because he started beating Nadal.
Still Federer being my primary favorite by far, I'm rooting for Federer, but truh be told, I think his chances of defeating Djoker are not that great.

well certainly not in this tournament...they are on opposite sides of the draw and Federer is going straight through talentless Novak.
Federer can always beat Novak. He will always be superior to Novak, always better than him. It is all on Fed's racquet, it always was on this matchup. If Fed serves well and hits his FH well, Nole can do nothing to stop him. Fed of the first two rounds will easy dismiss Nole.

Whatever you want to think,but if I were you I would not get my hopes up. Fed is not 25 anymore,and Rolaids can run all day. Fed will have to play low percentage tennis to beat him,and I just do not see him being able to pull it off over 5 sets at this stage of his career.

A post like this, after already knowing that Rafa is out, is just lame, armchair, hindsight 20/20, quarterbacking...
I guess we should all just bow down at your feet and proclaim you as some kind of analytical genius for predicting that Novak will win WO2012 (which already was the prediction by the vast majority of analysts and fans, even when Rafa WAS still in the tournament)....
But since this is sports, and anything can happen, please be sure to make another post proclaiming taht Djoker should retire as the disowned Son of God, if he ends up losing to Fed/Murray/Tsonga or any other long shot...it's the only way that you can reinforce your cred as the true tennis genius that you obviously are. ...
