Carmelo dissed Serena?

When they interviewed him about her during her match, he seemed hesitant to say he was there to support her. Then when she waved to him after the match he turned his back and left the stadium WHILE she was thanking him for being there.

WTF??

Delete this thread. LaLa is one of Serena's best friends, you can see this by their twitter interaction. Maybe he is just accompanying his girl, as she is out supporting her friend.

He didn't diss anyone, did you hear how dumb Pam Shriver's questions were? Reaching much?

Also, you're in SoCal....every try to leave the National Tennis Center after a packed night session? If you think LA traffic is bad....

whatever happened, it was just embarrassing. maybe he didn't want to be noticed? pam shriver surely helped him out by interviewing him about their fabulous relationship and again by calling him out after serena finished her match.

stick to the gd tennis, shriver, jeez.

Did you guys also notice LaLa gesturing to Pam Shriver to keep quiet, and that she is loud as hell?

Too bad James Blake wasn't their to remind her to be professional

Whoa easy on the drama there guy. Her first question was something like "So you're out here to support Serena tonight?" and he was like, "Ehh.. uhh.. I'm here to support her but blah blah something about the city."

He either dissed her or was trying to play Mr. Ultra Cool.

Pam's questions are painfully stupid. But it did seem a little embarrassing. She was talking TO him and he was leaving. lol

I blame Pam.

An overrated punk who was paid too much in NY...and was not the turnaround franchise player he thought he would be.
The NY Knicks were better with Jeremy Lin and without Carmelo Anthony. When he was out, things were great. When he came back, it all went downhill.

Carmello is the next Jordan/Kobe. True story.

Carmelo probably thought when asked that question, "You assume I came for Serena, what I can't cheer for the white girl? ..."

Pam's interview of the Dutch girl who beat Christina McHale was bad also. She kept trying to get details of the girl's bathroom visit. It was embarrassing.

I think it was a very awkward question and put Carmelo in spot. Coco was born in NYC and comes from a family very intimate with the NBA. Her grandfather was an ex-Knick; uncle ex-GM and coach of the Nets and DRAFTED Carmelo! He had to say he was supporting both....

I'm just amazed someone had the sound on when Carmelo was being interviewed. I had turned it off for conversational relief with my wife. And then repeating here what Carmelo had to say?? Do you really find this guy's comments in any way significant or interesting????

He's probably just there because LaLa wanted to go. He may not care one way or another about tennis or Serena. Carmelo is an easy-going guy (maybe a bit too much to fulfill his basketball talent) and it wouldn't be like him to dis anybody.

OMG:shock:

I can't say I've ever really listened to Carmelo speak, but it can't be so bad that you'd actually talk to your wife instead

I'm almost certain she was telling their son to be quiet, not Shriver...

What surprised me is that Carmello only wears size 14

I wear size 14 and I'm only 6'2 - 6'3...
