Please exclude the price on your comparison... Let's tackle the feel, comfort and spin generation between this two strings...

About a year ago we switched from RPM to Cyclone. They both produce excellent spin, both are comfortable although the Cyclone retains that feel a little longer due to its tension maintenance.

I enjoy stringing the RPM better, the Cyclone will shred your fingers,,,its really sharp !

I know you said forget the cost,,,,,but with the price comparison we feel like the Cyclone is a much better performer.

ive played with both strings and i think the cyclones are much better they just need to be restrung more often than if you used the rpm

Thanks guys... for your comments... actually it's hard to find cyclone strings here in the Philippines and I'll order again at TW if I finish experimenting with the cyclone( if i find it better than the rpm) Majority of the strings here that you can find in a local sports shop here in the Philippines are Wilson, Babolat, head, prince and some luxilon strings... I ordered my 89 tour from TW strung with a volkyl cyclone and it was great it was my first time using it... but it's kinda stiff comparing it with the rpm blast which is a co-poly... I usually string my rackets with the rpm blast at a low tension...

i thought TW carried Cyclone. why does babolat charge so much more for rpm that is similar or worse than cyclone ?

What gauges are you talking about? Cyclone is stiffer than RPM Blast? And what gauges are you talking about????????????

RPM is crisper and doesnt last anywhere near as long as cyclone which is more elastic and lasts about 11 hours for me. Im an all court guy who gets a lot of free points on serve. I suspect a pure baseliner might get less life. RPM is really expensive for what it is.

I know this isn't as relevant, but I figured it would be better than starting a whole new thread...
Does anyone know how this would feel compared to TopSpin Cyber Red (1.24)? That so far has been my favorite spin string being that it's a great price (same as VC) and it's super elastic and provides excellent ball pocketing. It gives sufficient bite, I use a full western forehand and a continental/eastern two-handed. I sometimes use a full western one-hander for kicks, lol.

rpm plays way better, but it goes down hill in like 1.5 hours.
volk plays okay for like 4 hours and then goes bad. so rpm is a premium string but for a very short time.
