What a choke by the US. Stricker in particular.

Team USA got too cocky. ESPN already crowned them the winners after Saturday. I'll give it to Europe. They fought and were clutch in the close matches. McIlroy almost was late for the tee time, had no practice, and still won his match.
Europe won Sunday's matches 8.5 to 3.5, with Europe's top 5 winning all their matches. That's insane.
What an unbelievable, incredible, phenomenal, extraordinary three days of sporting spectacle, finished off in history making circumstances!
Sport at its best!
Go Team Europe!!!
That is one of the best comebacks ever in sport. Team USA LOL what a bunch of pathetic chockers they thought they only had to turn up, arrogant americans. So happy for jose and the team this ryder cup should be dedicated to seve.
I though only americans called everything "the greatest ever", 2 minutes after its over.
One things for sure, today's weather was the greatest ever where I live.
I also made the greatest London Broil ever for dinner tonight. It was epic.
Maybe! Although the biggest comeback of all time away from home is more than worthy of the title "greatest Ryder Cup win, ever", no?
I thought it was one of the greatest comeback in sport ever?
Has it already been downgraded?
What a 3 days! I was glued to the coverage, took off class on Friday morning to go watch. Amazing stuff. Stricker was awful, but credit to the Europeans for not giving up hope when all was but lost.
I felt as though Tiger played like crap today, though.

That said douchebag, if you're going to invent unfounded assumptions ("only had to turn up") and put it out there as unassaillabe truth, don't be an asshole about it, you asshole.
Stricker and Furyk both choked big time. Both of them DLIII's captain picks.
Brandt Snedeker and dustin Johhson did ok.
Should've gone with David Toms and Stewart Cink in place of Furyk and Toms though. David toms is so solid in match play I remember him crushing Chris Demarco in the match play championship a few years back, just awesome.
Hindsight being 20/20 of course

The Europeans played great today (giving them all the credit in the world), and they STILL should have lost. That's how big the lead was. It was crushing for me, as a fan, but it's still the most exciting three days of golf I've gotten to enjoy in a while. I really look forward to the Ryder Cup two years from now.
^^^Dufner and Kuchar were also a little tight on conceding "gimmes" down the stretch. Mickleson, on the other hand, was very "cheery" as Rose nailed shots that sealed his doom. I guess you have to have been there before to know how to react under pressure.
It was astonishing to watch.
10-6 down but if there's enough points available then anything is possible. Maybe with Europe playing maybe for pride with nothing to lose takes that pressure off. Plus, you only have to look at the intensity of Poulter, Rose and McIlroy to see how much it meant, talk about having the eye of the tiger.
As weve seen in many tennis matches, getting that elusive winning point is not always easy.
As far as GB is concerned, our sporting acheivements have been amazing for us this year and choosing a Sports Personality of the Year is impossible, they should get everyone on the stage and give each an award.
Wasn't it 10-4 at one point? Before Donald/Garcia and Poulter/McIlroy won the last two matches on Saturday to get it to 10-6.
As for the sporting year for Britian, I read this in an article earlier..
Has 2012 been the best year for sport in Great Britain? After this, there can surely be no doubt. The Olympics and Paralympics, the title decided with the last kick of the domestic football season, Chelsea the Champions of Europe, Bradley Wiggins the first Briton to win the Tour de France, Andy Murray the first tennis Grand Slam winner in 76 years.
And now this: Europe's Brookline, but without the boorish conclusion. How did they do it?
Says it all
What a comeback by Europe on the last day.
Chelsea winning the Champions League has been justly relegated to a footnote thanks to other sporting achievements this summer.
Haha, maybe so. Still, even if you aren't a Chelsea fan, it's hard to deny it was pretty special.
Coming from 2-0 down against Barcelona with 10 men, beating Munich in their own stadium after equalising in the closing minutes, and beating them on penalties etc.. Oh and the first London club to win the trophy, not too bad
Playing such frightfully negative football that even one's uncle who always pulls for the British teams wanted them to lose.
Woods' Ryder Cup record blows though.
To be honest most of the singles matches Europe won you would have favored them to win:
Donald vs Watson- Last years best player in the World would be the odds on favorite.
Poulter vs Simpson- I favored Poulter, he is always really tough in match play type format, as well as team format. Plus was on fire this event.
McIlroy vs Bradley- Well Bradley was having a great event so it was a tough call, but it is still hard to bet against the current best player in the World.
Mickelson vs Rose- OK this was a surprise I admit. Mickelson played well though, still lost.
Snedeker vs Lawrie- meh, did anyone know. Both had sucked this event so far.
Furyk vs Garcia- I would have favored Garcia for this one. Furyk is getting a little long in the tooth these days.
Kuchar vs Westwood- definitely would have favored Westwood who has been a top 3 or 4 golfer for years now in this one.
Stricker vs Kaymer- Stricker has been poor this event so far, so not surprised he lost even to the slumping former World #1 Kaymer who was sat out of most previous matches so hard to guage form here.
The U.S also won one I wouldnt have picked them to win with Z. Johnson beating McDowell which basically negates the Rose vs Mickelson result.

I would think that the Ryder Cup serves as a bi-annual reminder to the British that they needed to rally the rest of the continent in order to compete.
Yeah, because Westwood, Donald, Poulter, Rose, Lawrie, McDowell and McIlroy.. 4 of the top 5 ranked players in the world being British means we couldn't compete
Plus, let's be fair, not to take anything away from the Euros but if Tiger wins his match (which he should've) it would've been 14-14 and the Euros would've only retained on a technicality and not 'won' outright, which I'll never understand. Why not go to extra holes to determine an outright winner instead of ties arbitrarily going to the defending champ?
Let's be honest. He gave up mentally once the Euros celebrated. If everything was on the line, you really think Tiger misses those last putts? I doubt it.
USA 19 - 3 GB&I
USA 7 - 10 Europe
Just sayin'. ;-)
Could have figured home turf would've evened the odds a bit. It seemed to the first two days.

You're right. I hear the team flight from Europe nowadays has only a couple of players on it because most of the team already lives over here!Yeah, because golf hasn't changed in 40 years!
I think Great Britain and Ireland would of had a far greater chance of winning it than Europe would of on their own, I suppose that serves as a reminder of how much Europe need Britain!
