There can now be no doubt he has been the best for the last two years and won this tournament without losing a match. Fed said he could not have played any better which is true he was good but congrats to djoker the best in the world.

He beat Tsonga, Murray, Berdych, Delpo, and Fed, with the loss of just 2 sets. That's just incredible.

Must be a real accomplishment that he narrowly beat a 31 year old Fed at the end of the year, lost his #1 ranking to him,and lost to him more than once this year including at Wimby where Cvac was the defending champion. Great stuff for sure.

Congrats to Novak, even if it doesn't compare to his 2011, he still had a terrific year and will be the main favourite for AO in my book.

Regarding you LOLville, we'll talk again when Nadal turns 31 :)

He won't be on the tour so there will be nothing to talk about.

Oh Clarky don't be bitter and just admit djoker is awesome plus he served like **** tonight and still won.

Nice finish for Djokovic, makes me very excited for AO 2013. Djokovic should be the favorite but I'm now optimistic for Federer. He just learned to moonball so that can help him on AO's hard clay

Let's face it, Djoker got pretty lucky on some bad UE's by Fed at crucial points. Could have gone the other way just as easily.

Let's face it he started slow in both sets and came back to break fed twice in both sets indoors when does that happen. His returns are the best of all time.

It was a close match but yeah, let's focus on Novaks achievement right now whatever was right/wrong on the other side of the net.

Federer lost 1 set in 2010 and he faced Ferrer, Soderling, Murray, Djokovic and Nadal, in fact he won the first 9 sets before Nadal leveled the final at 1 set all.

Djokovic has been amazing these past two years, and I glad he retained the number one ranking for the year.. Well deserved in a year, when the big four truly shone above the others.

Djokovic is the best player of 2011 and 2012, that's the honest truth right there.

I agree he was defintly the best for 2011 and marginaly in 2012.

2013....would be interesting if he can keep it up. Not many have been the dominant player for three years.

Going to be very difficult for anybody to beat an in-form Djokovic at the AO. The one with the best chance based on form is Andy Murray. I don't think Federer will be able to get through Djokovic on the slow AO surface which favours pushers, grinders and defensive specialists. He hasn't had much luck in their 2 previous meetings on that surface.

I think 2012 was the year the top 3 against Djokovic upped their game. They had to since he was the man to beat after 2011. And yet he still came out on top which should give him a LOT of confidence. Just hope he starts the year in form like he has been doing for the past 2 years and I hope he can perform at the big stages consistently once again like 2011 and to a lesser extent 2012.

He might have been the most consistent, but a 30+ year old Fed still spanked him 6-0!

Yes but so is the OP.

Absolutely not, the whole point of this thread was not to praise Novak but rather this part:

As I said, he'll get what's coming to him once Nadal gets into 29+ age territory.

Lol comparing years makes you sound bitter just soak in djokers win.

Well you said "Djokovic didn't lose a match at the WTF this year" which makes it sound like some ultrahuman achievement, Federer won the WTF a gazillion times without losing a match and often lost only a set in the entire tournament.

Federer has lost multiple 6-2 sets at the U.S Open to broken backed 35 year old Agassi. Try harder next time.

You're talking about matches that Federer won, against a guy he beat the last 8 times they played, and about a guy who retired years ago, who has nothing to do with Djokovic and the last two years of Djokovic's career, so perhaps you should try harder, better yet, stay remotely on topic.

I think you are both right and wrong. It is quite possible to be a Rafa fan, Djoker fan and Fed hater, all in one :).

Zagor is one of the most clueless posters on here anyone with half a brain can see I'm a djoker fanatic and proud of it. Nadal has my respect and so does fed to a lesser extent. I'll see you come AO 13 PAL.:)

I see your point. You, my friend, have a good observation :)

Look heather stay out of it I have had dealings with you in the past and won every argument as you seem new to tennis, I'm guessing you got into it around wimbledon 2012 right? typical.

Oh Jokinla, what fitting name as you regulary come out with posts like this, your average fanboy with no tennis logic. I'm sure you'll go missing come the final of the AO just like the rest of the *******s always do.

No.

You're a:

1) Fed hater

-big gap-

2) Nadal fan

The fact that you root for Novak when he plays Fed doesn't make you a Novak fan because in your case Novak shares that distinction with the whole ATP tour.

Nadal has my respect and so does fed to a lesser extent.

Nadal has your worship and Fed has your hatred (don't think it's too strong of a word in your case).

I'll see you come AO 13 PAL.:)

Indeed, try not to crap your pants if Nadal has to face Murray or Novak at AO.

Also, you better hope Nadal wins a slam in 2013 otherwise a thread about "equation" might be coming your way.

Not surprisingly you're the one lacking logic if you refute the 6-0 spanking Fed gave him, sucks doesn't it. As for the AO, isn't that the tournament that nobody has won more in the Open era than Fed, yeah that's right, I won't go missing, but I'm sure you hope Fed goes missing, you don't want him taking #1 away from your hero again, must suck to know your idol in his prime, can't keep a 31 year old Fed down.

He has been the year end best, but not the best for the whole of the two years. Federer for instance was number 1 for 4 months of this year.
