Biomimetic 300 vs. Rebel 98?

Hey guys,

I am currently using a Dunlop Biomimetic 300 that is leaded up a little bit. I am very interested in the Prince Rebel 98 as the Bio 300 has been giving me some arm problems and I've heard that the Rebel is arm-friendly. Can anyone compare these racquets in terms of stability, spin, feel, control, and power?

Btw, I use a semi-western forehand with a one-handed backhand with a grip (sorry, don't know the term ) between the top bevel and the diagonal bevel to the right of it if you are holding the racquet infront of you. (I guess between bevel 1 & 2?)

You may want to check out your 1HBH technique! I noticed quite a few arm problems when I used to hit a 1HBH!

Take a look at technique, and I have the Prince and have hit extensively with the Dunlop. I like the Prince and it is somewhat similar except for the feel; the feel on the Prince is just mushy and unappealing now that my game has gotten better.

I think my backhand technique is fine :p(atleast I hope!). I usually, just out of curiosity, video tape myself playing and when I look it over it looks like a regular one-handed backhand and it feels natural.

db10s, does the Rebel feel comfortable on the arm? I've heard the same thing about the feel but I've read in a few places that it could be changed/modified with the grommet inserts and/or dampener?

Lots of vibrations, but it isn't stiff or anything.

The Dunlop is a bit stiffer and depending where you have your lead placed will also affect the feel compared to the Prince.

If you just added a leather grip to the Dunlop then that would make the spec similar to the Rebel 98. I have just gone back to having a leather grip (Wilson one) on my Bio 300 and it brings the static weight to 315g and 4pts HL (add a dampener and your back to 3pts HL). I dont use a dampener and I actually feel the extra springy feeling off the strings is actually more comfortable, as is having that firmer leather feeling on the grip (with an overgrip for traction).

But if you have the chance to demo other rackets, then go for it.
