Best String of 2013 so far

I just want some opinions on what you guys think are the new best strings of the year so far. To name a few of the new releases since January of this year:

Signum Pro Firestorm
Ashaway Monogut ZX
Volkl Cyclone Tour
Volkl Torque
Technifibre Razor Code
Solinco Tour Bite (soft)

Not sure if these were 2013 or late 2013
Weiss Cannon Dual Reality Hybrid
Luxilon 4G

I'm sure I'm missing a lot more. My favorite is probably Volkl Torque. It's a bit firm -- okay, it's really firm -- but the spin and control is ridiculous!

No doubt.

YONEX POLY TOUR PRO 1.25

Google it!

To me,it's one of the worst I've played, it can be a good choice for non-poly players entering the world of polys, but a real poly player will find it lacking
It has the friction of a multi string (lame), the yellow color is sweet though

Don't know about the best, but the MonoGut ZX is the only thing different, so it is the most intriguing to me. I was going to order a set last time I ordered, but they were out of stock. I'll get some next time around I guess.

Only issue I have with PTP 125 is it's a low powered string. I had it as a cross with natural gut mains and for me, it felt like an average string.

I recently purchased Razor Code so looking forward to see how this compares.

I just tried razor code and it's definitely a good string. Somewhat soft without being at all mushy, medium to low power and plenty of spin. Problem is that it has notched heavily in 2hrs of hitting and thus its price cannot be justified.

Razor code - its powerful, with good spin potential and not too harsh - out of these 3 characteristics its the power I really like!

Powerful ? that is good news. Part of the reason I went away from Black code was because it lacked power and felt like plastic string with no feel. Do you think this Razor code is more powerful and has better feel ?

Razor = No power. Nice grab, good spin, but it lacked some feel after a few hours hitting with it. I prefer the Black Code

Tour Bite Soft. Super easy on the arm with tons of bite.
I am a 45 year old playing at a good level (4.5 competitive doubles). I just ordered the Tour Bite Soft and I am looking forward to playing that string. I am worried that a full bed of Poly, which I absolutely want to try, may cause soreness in my shoulder. If you don't mind my asking, how old are you. I assume that you are at least a 4.0 player.

Thanks for the reply in advance...

For a forum so obssessed with pro players, Firestorm should definitely get the award since a top pro actually switched to it.

Tour bite soft is really really soft, even at 55lbs(and you should not string it at less than 53 if you don't want a Rocket launcher

I'd like to give a shout out to Poly tour pro 120. Been looking for the perfect string, and I've tried probably 10 highly recommended strings. Polytour pro is by far my favorite.

And for the power player Durafluxx. My go to these days.

There's alot of good offerings to ask for a best is too taste driven and results oriented. Also you have 3.0 level players liking one and 5.0 + another. Too general a question. But fun to hear responses

I finally had a chance to try Razor Code 17G and somehow it's not what I thought it would be.

I strung a full set at 50lbs on my Graphene Speed Pro and it was quite stiff for some strange reason. I left it for a day after stringing it and hit with it for about an hour and it still felt really stiff so I decided to move on to another string.

Razor Code felt stiff, lacks power, and doesn't have much feel compared to other polys I tried such as Kirschbaum Evolution and L-tec 4S.

Volkl Cyclone Tour if you looking for a powerful poly that feels more like a crispy multifilament string.

Yonex Poly Tour Pro if you looking for a low powered poly that offers good tension maintenance.

Razor Code is just under powered and stiff feeling. I had it in my racquet and cut it out after hitting with it for 30 minutes.
