Agreed. I don't even use a midsize racket, but would love to get a PC600 just because its legendary and looks freaking sweet.

... I played with the previous TW re-issue for 5yrs, damn near identical to "made in Austria" batches.
I guess I'm not a true tennis fan.

what you think is damn near identical is not. ones perception of 2 items is very hard to judge. its kinda like wine. but of course its whats in the head that counts. if one thinks pink and black is same color, it doesnt matter if both are blue.
i know i would be disappointed if i opened up a package expecting it be some old antique item, and it turned out to be a replica of the original.
its not just strictly the fact that it may even be close to original. the very act of trying to replicate the original is quite appalling.
so yea, we are not the same kind of real true fan.

exactly my point. its all perception. as long as you think you like the item, regardless of its bad quality its all good.
lets just say i didnt even consider buying the reissue ps 85
actually you know what? please buy only the new reissues when they come out. that will leave more of the old originals for me and other guys who truly appreciate them

For the PS 6.0 85, it has been made in China for 20 years, so I'd take one made in China over one made anywhere else as they have 20 years of experience making them. And the TW re-issue of the PS 6.0 85 is great and much better suited for my game than all the previous versions.

For the PS 6.0 85, it has been made in China for 20 years, so I'd take one made in China over one made anywhere else as they have 20 years of experience making them. And the TW re-issue of the PS 6.0 85 is great and much better suited for my game than all the previous versions.
I'll take it over china because they only reason why they're made there is because of cheap labor. You know this. If a guy has been playing tennis for 20 years and has lots of experience, but his game is still at the 2.5 level, why would he be any better than the guy he's playing who is a 3.5 and just started a few months ago?
Not saying the PS 85 was poorly made, but I don't think china has any credibility in the "experience" department

We could go on and on about this, but I don't care to. I'm just saying that the Czech Republic has a good chance of producing better quality and I wouldn't be discouraged to buy a frame made there. I would also buy a made in china one too though

You can pay a worker a lot of money to make a crappy product or you can pay a worker very little money to make a crappy product, and vise versa, so what's the difference? Just because they may pay the workers in Czech Republic more money does not mean they can make a better product. Look at the U.S. auto industry in the 70's and 80's. U.S. auto workers were some of the highest paid in the world, yet they made crappy cars. Yes, they were. They were manufactured in Austria and finished (Painted) in the Czech Republic.
Here is the description by TW:
Note: These racquets were produced in the HEAD factory in Kennelbach, Austria and finished in the Czech Republic. However, due to EU labeling laws, the following is printed on the frame: Designed in Austria on the shaft above grip. Made in Czech Republic on butt cap

That's because it was made in Austria on the same equipment and by the same workers. Just finished in Czech Republic (Painted).

Didn't TW re-issue the PC600 more than once in the past? If so, where was the other re-issue made? I thought all non-pro stock Head racquets made for consumers are all made in China nowadays?

2003 and 2006. There has been so far only one factory in the world that has manufactured the PC600. Those PC600 were the last of the Austrian racquets that were made for sale.

OK, thanks. I thought I remembered them being reissued more than once by TW. If I recall correctly, didn't TW have to negotiate with Head to get them made in Austria/Czech Repulic instead of in China for the last re-issue batch and we were told that that would be the very last time they would be made in Austria/Czech Republic?
I bought a Prestige Classic (U.S. version) back in 2000 at a local pro shop when they were still on the market. I guess that one was made in Austria also? I don't recall if it said so on the frame.
