Oh, I played a "5.0" in Germany. I automatically deduct 0.5 from any stated NTRP rating unless I can find evidence on TennisLink.

I've heard of the epic Mikeler vs. Mclovin matches and I've hit vs. McLovin. I know better than to claim 5.0 in this situation. LOL!

Ladies and Gentleman,
The day has finally arrived. According to the USTA early start ratings, I'm officially a 5.0 for the rest of the year.
First off, I'd like to thank my parents and family. I'd also like to thank ssgator80 and WickedFH for their help allowing me to become the player I am today while they wallow in that 4.5 wasteland. I'd also like to thank that little bald guy who has helped develop my overhead into a world class weapon. Many thanks to Jeff for showing me how to hit drop volley winners on McLovin et al.
This is a special day. I intend to celebrate with a nice meal out at McDonald's followed by some time at Monkey Joe's. Thanks everybody!

I changed my signature too. Notice the lol at the end. I won a doubles match after saving 4 match points against a benchmark 4.5 and self rated 5.0. I won a singles match against a guy that moved from 4.0 to 4.5. Then I beat a computer rated 4.5. I'm not sure how they come up with me being a 5.0 based on that. ssgator80 did not lose a match but still stays at 4.5. Maybe they take height into consideration for the ratings, I have no idea. :twisted:

I watched most of the UF game and switched to the US Open during commercials. I'm feeling good enough to leave the house for the first time and possibly eat a meal today.
Whenever I get these stomach illnesses, it seems to fix all my tennis aches. My on and off hamstring tightness the last few months is just about gone. Another time my golfer's elbow went away.

The bug we had was upper respiratory -that means there are two going around! Guess we will all have to be careful. You're right about the one positive of being sick as far as the injuries go.

yeah weather getting nicer and working on a roof earlier this week was tolerable. was thinking mikeler probably up in DC. seems like he visits there a good bit. will be brewing some German ales pretty soon so speak up if you want me to save you a bottle or two for the holidays.

You need to shut the blank up Gator. You don't know what ur talking about. Ur tennis credibility is no more after Tuesday night. Mikeler simply couldn't handle his emotions. They got the better of him and he lost it.
Just because I had one bad match, I have no tennis credibility. I was simply sick out of my mind. It is the only way I lost that match.
