It is more of the same, predictable outcome. But I'd rather TD collect his #5 because LBJ sure has time on his side. He should collect it in Cleveland though so that Dwade won't get a free ride piling his rings at the behest of LBJ--let's be honest, no lbj no 2nd and 3rd or a possible fourth for Flash--who's doing most of the grunt work; LBJ sure can win with current Clips roster or Pacers and Blazers roster!

Assuming LBJ get his 3rd straight (and I'm assuming nothing:)), his greatness will only grow if he leaves and wins it going back to Cleveland--not from one of those big 4 markets that is NY, LA, Chicago and Miami. He'll be greater than his Airness if he wins a consecutive 4th (not 4, not 5, not 6...) title!:)

No matter the plan--like Pat Riley said, until MJ retires, no one is going to win an NBA championship!--until LBJ is done winning, there is no outside chance for any pretenders. CWebb is the man, he is becoming a lot better than Sir Charles...:)

Numbers say Blake. IMHO West reserves can beat the East Starters. Bet TNT will not televise the Cadavers again.

Well since football is over I guess the basketball season can begin. Watched a couple games and I find the calls are brutal and the game is too slow. Every time someone drives it's a foul. Any fight for a rebound foul. It sucks. College is way better. Refs let them play and people can actually make blocks and steals.

For instance, I could say "Paul Tagliabue was a fraud because his league saw so many concussions go unaccounted for". THAT is a concise, unambiguous way to gripe. Saying that Stern "destroy[ed] the integrity of the game" is a vague generalization that makes you sound bitter and misinformed.

I don't even bother, he'll get banned soon enough if he keeps running his mouth.

Carry on. I really hope Kyrie Irving gets out of Cleveland, or they find some help for him.

Haven't watched a single game this year. But I respect the Cleveland Cavs for carrying on despite losing a once-in-a-generation player. I know it's a different league than the days of Charles Barkley, Pat Ewing, and David Robinson. But seeing small-market teams like Indiana build from the ground up is refreshing.

Everyone has a plan till they get punched in the mouth. Or the 1st day of the season for the Cavs. Shaq commented that he did not trust or believe in a system unless it had a proven success record. Wonder why no team emulates the Spurs' system?

Because they look nothing like a run and gun team!:) They are just plain and simple.

A success formula though! But is it really Pop or is it Tim? Guess they both complimented each other so well. So much so that every knucklehead would buy into the system or get out, like someone you know last playoffs, guess who?

Manu 36, TD 37. Just curious if the system can be transplanted to other teams that have players not playing for a contract, under 30, in the Eastern Conference, in the Snowbelt, without a HoF forward, and without Pop.

I don't know, I think Tom Thibodeau has come pretty close to replicating a "system" where they can just plug and play people into positions and go.

Play and plug only works if you have 8+ good players, capable of starting in teh NBA.
For instance, the Warriors don't. They can't just plug in the 7th man and expect the same level of play.
