One Strings Tennis from Italy?

Well, I do love my 105s, so trying other frames in the same family of open string pattern is a pretty normal thing to see if they might be even better.

The Juice 100s was not better....I like it better then the 99s....but the One Strings is better then the 100s and 99s. The One Strings is 14 mains, so I am/was intrigued by the fewer mains. Hey, if the 105s is so good for me why not try similar ones and see if they might be even better, these are all in the same ball park. Right now the One Strings was very comfortable for me, and I could feel it within the first 10 minutes. With the 100s Juice I could feel that it was not as good within those first 10 minutes, and now 4 sets have confirmed that feeling.

So I cannot wait to see what my next singles match will do with One Strings from the start, I think I am playing Sunday night.

They say musicians and tennis players share the belief that changing the instrument can improve their performance. God only knows if true.

Anyway, I found the 100s much better than the 99s. Easier power, bigger swetspot, more foregiving.

How is the One String better ? is it as powered as the Juice ? Otherwise no deal for me. What do you mean by comfortable ?

Their racquets are average to below average and their strings are TERRIBLE.. very poor and cheap quality.. their gut is made in india, same as global gut and very poor quality control IMO.. better racquets out there for the same $$

Interesting feedback...we all seem to like the One Strings Carbon NRG strings and haven't had a single issue with the quality?

If you watch the 315 video Andy goes last and he states that he "felt very connected to the shots". That is what I feel with the 300 and it is a great feeling. The Juice just does not feel connected and I feel like I cannot control it, and it is not due to too much power as many think.

The guys in that 315 video are right, the lack of technology in the frame is true, but I think that is what makes you feel the ball so much more, which could also make it bad for elbow problems. I am playing singles at 6pm Sunday night and I will use the 300 and provide feedback after the match. I do know that the guy I am playing is very very good and aggressive and the last time I played his I had to be reactive and could not get to the net as I prefer. So I will be more glued to the baseline in defense mode, will be a good test in my opinion.

It is just a standard graphite frame, no Basalt fibers which helps dampen feel, no special handle like Wilson has, no open grommets like prince, no special shape in the throat like some of the Yonex frames, no different material in the corners of the hoop like Yonex or Prokennex. Just a plain-jane graphite frame.

Played singles last night and restrung my crosses in the 300 turbine skipping the first and last cross, so it was 14x17. I really really liked the feel a lot.....serves and feel were very comfortable and I did feel connected to shots. I do like it just as much as my 105s in terms of power and feel, but the 105s does have more spin.

I will be keeping my Spin Deeper and selling the Juice 100s, it is a very nice compliment to the 105s when I might want a little less spin depending on my opponent and the game I need.

Well, my One Strings frame came to an untimely death yesterday during singles. A rather routine toss downward on its head after frustration cracked it all the way through. Damn....I need a racquet endorsement as this gets expensive.

Are there any plans to review the Carbon Tour strings?

slight thread resurrection but I have just had the opportunity to hit with a One Strings racquet and thought I would share some thoughts...

I played with the Spin Deeper 315 with full bed of their Carbon poly, strung quite tight but not sure of tension.. Just some brief background this is not the sort of racquet I normally play with (PK Redondo 98 18x20 is my go to) so I was really astonished that I played so well! Approx rating 4.5, age, a sprightly 40!

Firstly I really like the design (some will just not like white) and it certainly stood out, a lot of people coming up and asking what it was which is always fun.

of course the more important part, how it plays. Tbh I not the best at describing how racquets play but will give it a shot!

I was worried I think due to string pattern (14x19) that control would be an issue but once up and running it always felt tight and controllable. There is however more power than I am used to but you have to trust this racquet and go for your normal full swing and the spin will bring the ball down.

By the end of the session I was peppering the baseline and pushing my partner back which was quite surprising as I kept thinking the ball was going to go long.

This may sound like control was lacking but I did not get that feeling once I was accustomed to the extra power, touch shots were precise and slices were even more fizzing, I guess due to the open pattern. Volleys (not my strong suit) were crisp and I felt I did not have to add extra oomph to them in the same way I do with my PKs.

Lastly serve, well that was a revelation so much grunt for much less effort. My serve is not great but my partner hit some serves with it (he is a better player than me with a big serve when he flattens it out, a genuine 110-120 on occasion) I kid you not he was astonished, as was I, about how much pace he was generating, I could not get close to returning some of them.

That is all I can think of for now, suffice to say was very impressed, in fact so impressed I have bought one! They deserve to succeed in this tough market...
