Pro Staff 85 reissue from TW

Hi, I'm new here and I have a question for the Wilson addicted.

Last week I bought a Wilson Pro Staff 85 reissue from TW (TW-Europe actually, since I live in Italy). The specs on the website say it should have the BLX golden butt cap, but mine came with a black butt cap with the silver "W" (and a little "CHINA" sticker). Weight is 348 grams unstrung.

Does anyone know anything about those new PS 85 and this specific issue? I am just curious about it.

Maybe someone who has bought a reissued ps85 can answer, but just looking at the order page, the images of the ps85 shows a butt cap as you described - black cap w/ silver W as seen below:

Thank you Byakuya, I didn't see the photos, my fault (I had only read the description "Please note this racquet now comes with a gold BLX butt cap rather than the traditional Wilson white and red butt cap. Racquet does not come with a racquet cover."). Today I'm gonna have it strung and I'll give her a try

The buttcap has changed since they were first brought back. Mine (from 2011) have the gold BLX buttcap described, but a friend of mine bought a pair earlier this year which have the newer silver-on-black buttcap you got.

Is the paintjob matte black or is it glossy now?

I bought the gold buttcaps in November 2013 and they are matte black.

Matte black, always and forever. Pro Staffs are always matte (or they ought to be anyway).

Actually, one of the Taiwan versions used a glossier paint.

I'd still consider that as matte though in today's sea of blinging racquets.

I would like to change a Blx butt cap and replace it by the former White and red wilson one. Do you think that will be possible?

Can i easily replace the butt cap with an old white and red on?
