Hello all,

I've been thinking about trying the new pure strikes again. I was going to back in December but they were hard to get so I waited. Now I want to try 3 different ones. The pure strike VS, the pure strike 98 16x19 aka project, and the the pure strike 100 16x19. Looking for feedback on all of those particularly the VS versus the original 98.

depends on what fits you and game.
what you are coning from...
demo them all to really know.
Serves and forehand, you will know
But quickly breaking the two:
VS (16 x 20) : slightly lighter, tighter string pattern, bit more control, bit less power..., less spin...if you hit with spin
versus
the 16 x 19: bit more power, more swing-weight, very trendy racquet now, good frame, but it is your hands that should decide.

the PS 100 is a very low power frame, but hey...you never know until your jump in the water and swim...
best of luck, make it fun,, do not rush....

Keep in the mind the pure strike vs is a different frame than the standard pure strike. According to Babolat, it is exactly the same racket as the pure control but with updated cosmetics. However, the specs still remain the same. So you are comparing rackets with the same cosmetics but from 2 different racket lines.

Alright then I will demo both 98s then. I'm more interested in the 16x19 because I do use a bunch of spin. I'm just looking for a Racquet I can hit my serves with a bit more pop.

I've been play testing the new Strike 16x19 the last couple of weeks. So far I've actually been very please with it. There is no doubt that it is a stiff racket, but it retains a nice feel on contact, and there is still a ton of feedback. Normally when I try stiffer rackets I tend to lose touch with the ball a bit, which I personally hate. The balance of the racket quite a bit more HH than I typically use. The only time that's causing me any issue is on serve. That will come in as I get more familiar with the timing. I'm reluctant to add weight to make more HL as the whole objective for this exercise is to experience a lighter racket and adding weight would immediately invalidate that objective for me.

I would highly recommend the Strike for your demo list.
