Show that FH conti drop shot grip early from mid court

this is a really nice way to play a short floating shot at mid court that's over to your FH side.

Getting the racquet away from the body early and with an obvious continental grip will get your opponent racing forward and diagonal, thus making it super easy to just chop slice the ball X Court. Of course, need to have a decent enough FH dropper to have to be respected.

If opponent tries to hedge sides, it's not to hard to learn a chop FH slice up the line from this position also as a third option.

So many times, when I topspin FH this ball, my common opponents really sit on Xcourt, and no matter how hard I hit it, they put a racquet on it up the line, with me totally out of position!!
"Topspin down the line" everybody will say, but seriously that is a tough shot even for pros.

Anyway, just an approach to consider to make tennis a little easier at the rec level ✌

My forehand is based on an extreme eastern grip (I believe it's called). Index knuckle on the third bevel for a right hand player. I charge forward with
the racquet back looking like I am going to crush the ball then just caress the shoot. I don't want them to see what's coming. I'd rather the opponent
is left flat footed at the baseline. I don't change to a continental grip because it is easy with an eastern grip to hit a soft drop shoot slice because
the new racquets with poly strings have a higher launch angle. However, when hitting slice from the baseline I do move more towards continental.

Thar's another factor since my groundstroke FH is strong semi, which I can't hit a drop shot from.

Have to change grip to make other player respect the possibility of anything short.
