It was just the Nike RG collection. This shirt in particular. The guy is over reacting

It was live on Tennis Channel, tried to find it on the internet, no luck--it's not Mokller's blue outfit that appears under images. Just trying to do my civic duty to warn the world NOT to look to prevent vision damage. You try to find them--I did my duty.
The "guy", that being me, is NOT overreacting--I've seen some fugly outfits worn by ATP pros, but this one makes Wawrinka's out-fits of a few years back look like Anna Winotour designed them--you have to see the shirt and the pants together--CLASH is not just a punk band. The pattern on the shirt does not show up on TV, even a big one. The shirt itself looks like something from Tommy Bahama--would be appropriate on a tourist attending a funeral on Maui. Put the pants and the shirt together and you'll see!

It was not this, the other one, with trees and skeletons. First black, then white, both look nice on pics, horrible when you wear it. The shorts look like demented boxers too.
This reminds me of the old Berdych H&M kits. Not my cup of tea, but I applaud Nike for being creative.
I think nike is killing it lately. I love the floral top with the bee pattern shorts. Yes it is a bit of a ripoff of some designer labels like Dior but I love the mismatch and think together the prints are fire. To me it looks even stronger when you think about what adidas is offering for RG19, which is laughable – or maybe just sad?

Hey, a Chinese girl player got stung by a bee on the hand today and needed medical treatment--are you sure the shorts don't have real bees on them?--could be much worse then ants in the pants--and, the shirt would attract bees too with all the flowers--I've had bees attracted to shirts I've worn thinking they were flowers, especially the ones with yellow designs.
I don’t even know what this response is. I hope the player feels better.

Agree. These design are the worst ever produced in tennis clothing.
Even H&M Hydrogen or Alea are looking nicer.
I beg to disagree. NOTHING to date tops Hydrogen for UGLY. Nothing.

Agreed. At least they are trying out some new ideas. If all the haters on this thread thought this line was from Adidas and it was co-designed with Y3 or Palace skateboards they would go over the moon.

Haters? Just reasonable people. I wrote my PhD on baroque art and was hyped about this collection for many reasons, but once I‘ve seen it in action I was really stunned. Nike probably was so keen to have something different and clever that they didn’t really thought how it looks on real people. This pattern is made for bed linen not for wearing it on court.

As a self-proclaimed 'artisan' I agree; I thought the Baroque Vapor Xs were really cool from an artsy perspective - just like the Warhol Adidas Barricades; and I really dig the whole Barberini bee leitmotif, but there's no way I'm ever going to actually buy this stuff. (It looks almost like they lifted design elements on what was presumably going to be Federer's FO shirt from Pope Urban VIII's chasuble, or something akin to it, granted somewhat sans bees, and then superimposed his backhand swing path to forge a tennis link.) It also reminds me of the ridiculously overpriced tee shirts and fixies etc. that they try to sell you at post gallery exo gift shops when they've hopefully got you swept up in the vibe.

There's some runner's up and honorary mentions for fugliest outfit : Salvatore Caruso of Italy playing against Dustin Brown, and Tennys Sandgren's--maybe Tenny's being punished for his "controversial" tweets a while back, by having to wear that outfit. Sorry, for not being able to post pics, but I saw these live on Tennis Channel, and can't find images on the web yet--if anyone can post pics that would be great.

The shirts from that collaboration between Adidas and Palace from Wimbledon last year are selling on the web for upwards of $500. now. Just goes to show you one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.

The print patterns on the shirt are not the best in my own opinion. But it is more about the color to me. As long as the overall color is generally dark, like that or generally neutral, it will definitely work for some people.
It may not work for everyone, but I would pump my brakes about saying that it is the worst, ever.

When you put the bee pants and the aloha shirt together on top of each other, it's a MAJOR mess! Worn separately, with a white top or bottom, it's ok for something different for a season. Just saw it on Donna Vekic, with the bees on top and the flowers on the bottom, and even with her good looks it's a major CLASH! Maybe it's Anna Winotour's revenge on Nike, now that her boy is with UniGlo.

If you're referring to RFed's outfit, I think it looks pretty classy. The brown pants would minimize showing stains from the red clay, without Nike's necessity for a swarm of wasps buzzing around one's crotch.

Agree, a lot of shirts in the last few years from Urban Outfitters to high end Supreme feature the floral motif. The bees are most noticeably from Gucci and a few others. Tennis wear as street wear...that’s the attempt at the cross over look. It makes sense, and upsets a few tennis fans, but it’s modern fashion and Nike nailed the concept. The actual shirt, I’m not sure. I almost bought one because I thought it might be a collectors item, like their older designs featuring snake skin (US Open 2001) and tie dye (2003?). It’s a bit different in person. The red with multicolored shorts are a bit less floral, but a better color. They needed more red, less navy/black on the shirt. And the flowers look like tulips, not hibiscus, the flower I would like to have on a floral shirt. I love red floral/ leafy green/ tropical Magnum PI. I wanted more Magnum!

That was supposed to be Roger’s kit had he stayed. It’s kinda gaudy up close. Looks sharp on TV. Delpo usually mixes up from the rest of the nike guys. He Wears Old Cages too, just with new current colorways

le coq sportif. leaves Nike in the dust. I have been wearing more soccer shirts lately. well made, well cut, and since I dont follow soccer, I just buy whatever looks best.
Good for many other purposes but definitely not tennis players. The whole ''Hawaii edition'' from Nike is horrible.

Ya' know, I saw the bees and funereal aloha shirt on Knicky Kyrigos, and on him it worked. Maybe, because he's so nutzso, that he makes it look semi-normal. I don't think any other player could pull it off. I think I get the metaphor now, the bees in the pants are there to pollinate the flowers on the top.

Yah, it was a stretch. Did anyone notice that when Knicky walked out to play Matteo Berrettini, he was followed by his robot vacuum with the OZ flag attached to it--that has to be a first AND probably the last time--HILARIOUS! Wonder if he will have his "roomba" follow him out at Wimby--he'll have to get a white one if he does. Maybe he got it to clean up the mess he might make if he goes bezerk again, it can clean up after him to help mitigate his fines. Maybe TW should start stocking them--there are a lot of courts that need sweeping--maybe they could pick-up the balls--I think we're onto something here, robotic ball-boys/girls.
