Please share us your story. It must have been a cool experience to be in an alien's aircraft.

How was it? What did you see? What did you hear? How's the smell? What kind of language did you hear?

Seem to experience loss of time on a regular basis. Up to 8 hours a night. But returned w/o any recollection of my abductions. I do have a number of aches & pains in various parts of my body. Might be my age (67) but I suspect that it is more likely that medical procedures have been performed w/o my consent or knowledge... by curious or mischevious extra-terrestrials, no doubt.

I was never abducted by aliens, but I was ravaged by a girl wearing a Ferengi costume once. It was an "out of this world" experience. We never spoke during the episode and I admit I was a little intimidated.

Does that count?

Any witnesses? Are you married? If yes, did she notice your disappearances from time to time? Also, why you? Do you ever wonder?

Not sure how I feel about alien abduction. Can't rule it out either. Have read too many stories about it and have seen a few movies too. Dark Skies comes to mind immediately.

Overload indeed. Loved that 3-season documentary series of the 1947 human-alien hybrids. Especially the first 2 seasons. The Xmas episode in season 2 was my favorite. Some good eps season 3 but uneven. Wish they had the time to give it a proper ending.

Only watched 2 eps of the reboot series. I am disappoint. Makes me miss the 1999 series.

Do aliens target single men for the most part? Because the stories are more spread out among those.

Dark Skies, the 2013 film? Never saw it but I was a huge fan of the 1996 TV series.

Under the Skin is another very peculiar alien movie. Very good though but you don't want to watch it twice.

I care about true alien abduction stories and not the typical Hollywood mumbo jumbos.

Don't know about the series but it might just be the same story. Very believable. It's on Netflix if you want to check it out.

Will check it out if it is still on Netflix. I thought the 2013 film might be a film retelling or continuation of the 1996 series. But, in reading the Wikipedia entry for the film, the premise/plot is very different. The short-lived series was nominated for a number of awards and garnered fairly high marks by fans (7.7/10 on IMDb). It was supposed to run 5 seasons but the plug was pulled after 18 eps cuz of somewhat low viewership... it never quite found the X-Files crowd, undoubtedly due to its less-than-desirable time slot. (I recall it being in the afternoon more than primetime hours).

It retells history (US & some world history) with an added alien twist from the late 1940s (Roswell visit & crash) thru the 50s and 60s. Subsequent seasons were supposed to cover historical events of the 70s thru the 90s. We are presented with a different Roswell incident. President Truman and US military involvement. We see a new twist on the JFK assassination and the Warren Commission. The Vietnam war, The Watts Riots, anti-war protests, The Beatles, Jim Morrison and The Doors all figure into this revision of history...

From IMDb:
20th century history as we know it is a lie. Aliens have been among us since the 1940s, but a government cover-up has prevented the public from knowing this. As the series progresses, we follow John Loengard and Kim Sayers as they attempt to thwart numerous plans of the alien Hive, most of which are tied to historical events and figures. In addition, the pair must stay one step ahead of a covert government agency, Majestic-12, tasked with fighting the aliens while maintaining the conspiracy of silence.

It (Dark Skies) sounds quite ambitious for TV show. I think The X-Files was successful because initially it concentrated on paranormal activities more and then branched out into the alien stuff. Also, it had more modern approach with two beings sitting both side of the spectrum which created a very interesting dynamic between the lead characters. The stories stood on their own and always had different takes on those which made the show quite intriguing.
