Bag pricing are out of control

6 - 8 racquets?

What are you... changing racquets every 10 minutes? And for what reason?
I sweat...a lot. Especially in the warmest months, I'll cycle racquets, yes, every ten minutes. I go through sweatbands like crazy too. A couple of those racquets are also different ones from my CX200T. Every once and awhile, I'll pull them out and hit with them for a bit.

Got a great deal on the Technifibre Endurance Rackpack like 6 months ago or so - holds a lot - with the discount and promo code - I got it for like 40 or 45 - very happy with it

Still use a pr. of Head Tour Team MonsterCombi bags. Need one for my Yellow racquets. Teammate kept his racquets in the trunk of his car. When he ran out of room he bought another car. Paid $45 for both bags BITD

I had one of those and that's a great price for that bag. But not with its current price though.

$120USD and they took away the backpack straps...

I typically carry 4 rackets in my bag, which is still an overkill if I'm the only one using rackets. I've never broke more that one string in a hitting session. Sometimes I will carry rackets for my kiddos if it is family outing.

I do like the large bags. I just like having one bag where I can put about 95% of all my tennis gear.

I'm still using the Adidas Bag I picked up a few years ago. The thermal lining is starting to peel off and the bag will need replacing soon. I may try to pick up something similar, especially if I can get it for less than $50.

This is the bag that I just bought. It was on clearance and cheaper than most used bags on Marketplace.

Same. I've been using it for a few years now. I already bought another for when I will eventually need to replace my current one as well as a Dunlop CX bag that was on clearance.

been proven fairly conclusively that most "inflation" is actually corporations profiteering well above and beyond any price increases in production

Yes. What else is new? Corporations raise prices and blame it on inflation or whatever. Whatever makes more money for shareholders is the bottom line.

Bags costing $130 is ridiculous. I got a nice prince Tour 12 racket bag as a gift for my birthday that cost more than $100 but I myself would not spend that much. I only carry 3 rackets but fill the bag with other stuff like balls, towels, stretch bands, extra clothes. Best way to go is buy used but make sure zippers work. I found some good ones used for under $50.

I’m one of those freaks that bring 6+ different frames to a session...

I personally prefer to walk/cycle/scoot to my local courts and a backpack suits my needs. Rather than a bulky 6-12 that can only really can only hold a can of balls when full.

This is my perfect Bridgesone back pack (only downside is that it’s a black and COOKS in the sun on a hot Australian summers day)

The back zip holds 2, and I can stuff up to 5 more in the main compartment, I’ve never had another Tennis back pack but it seems to fit more than most.

The straps on the outside I use to hang my used towels & hat, has mesh drink bottle holder that fits a fresh can of balls (or used sweaty wristbands to dry out)

P.s I can take a photo to show my set up but I don’t really know the best way to upload photos, lol

Asia has the best tennis backpacks. Toalson, Gosen, even Yonex sell great stuff there.
I like this one, don't own it but looks great...

I was proxying a couple of racquets on the site ‘FromJapan’ and it was $50aud brand new in the plastic...couldn’t say no.

The one you showed doesn’t have enough zips/compartments & doesn’t really look like a tennis bag lol. Bridgestone is already obscure enough that most would think I’m a Motorsport fan if they recognised the brand

I have the same bag, been great for years but is showing it's age with the thermal falling off, pilling of some of the areas around the straps and general fraying of seams. I've been using it regularly for over 5 years and got it for $80 so no complaints at all on it. Just replaced with an ADV JetPack backpack and really love it. It fits everything I had in the Adidas bag (3 rackets, spare clothes, towel, grips, balls, sunscreen, etc) and it's more organized and easier to find. It was a splurge cost wise, but have been using it for a month and it's been great.

Agreed. I have 2 10-15 year old Yonex backpacks that look something like this. They are made really well. Zippers aren't likely to break.

Fortunately, I managed to also buy several Nike Court Tech bags. Big as a suitcase, but because they have a frame, by far the most comfortable to carry. I can carry a gallon of water in the bag with out any worry.

Anybody tried a Tru Pro bag? I’m in the market and they’re on sale this weekend. The 2 racquet backpack looks pretty practical.

My Yonex 9 pack from 2015 ist kaput. Is the geau axiom 9 pack worth the price of admission for 199 USD? Insane price but if the quality is good maybe I can get another decade out of one?

A twelve racquet bag is handy in case you murder your doubles partner (accidentally, of course) and need to take them off the premises (Leave No Trace Tennis). But it’s still not big enough to do it in one piece. TMI, right?

Myself, I just need a two stick bag, which I made from sewing two single racquet covers into my old thru-hiking backpack.

I'm considering upgrading to the Wilson Super Tour Blade v9 15 Pack Bag from my Wilson backpack. Originally when I bought the backpack, I was arriving to court in court clothes with only 2L of water in my tennis shoes.

Now, I coach HS tennis and play in domes in the winter and need to be able to:

1) Bring an extra racquet or two for my students
2) Hold my tennis shoes, change of clothes, towel
3) Hold 2 of my own racquets
4) Hold various small gear like string packs, overgrips, medical kit,
5) Hold my huge 3L water bottle

Do I need the 15 pack or would the 12 pack work? I do like the fact that the 15 pack has a separate shoe area. How big is the bag when it's on? It seems like the dimensions are actually quite similar. Does 15 FEEL much larger than 12? Since I already have a smaller bag, I definitely need it to be able to fit everything with a bit of room to spare.

Also anyone have any of the recent super tour bags? The V8 or V9 versions of things? What do you guys think of them?

I have the V7 15 pack bag and I need every inch of it.

It'll fit but just so you know, those Wilson bags are easily 5-7 years old at this point. They're just repainted year after year. For a traditional tennis bag, I would go with Prince's 9 pack instead. (It's as big as other 12-15 pack)

it's easy enough to buy a bag from the previous season. couple that with holiday sales, and it's not impossible for find a nice bag for under $100.
I got this 12 pack recently. Just waited for it to go on sale. I believe I paid around $50 after taxes and free shipping. Tennis warehouse currently has it on sale for $55.

My brother in law was a teaching pro for many years. With his 5 kids that all play tennis, he would typically just pack a bunch of racquets in one bag, especially when they were young juniors. I did this as well when my 2 boys were young. It's a good question, but perhaps not all the racquets are his?

Don't think I'll ever ask you to be my doubles partner, lol!
