Just hoping his practice goes well and he's feeling up to competing.
"Oh my God this is great news!"
"Oh that doesn't sound good."
"He'll be back to top form at the next tournament."
There used to be football stadiums named after players of the club here in Germany before most were renamed to industry firms and other BS. It was typically after players who already had retired so i think they never played on the pitch that had their name.I’ve always wondered what it must be like to be playing tennis on a court literally named after yourself. You step onto the court and it says Pista Rafa Nadal right there. Surreal feeling I’d imagine, I can’t think of anything like it in other sports.
Lol...I want to see Nadal v Alcaraz here badly this year. The perfect passing of the torch moment on Nadal's own court.
@vive le beau jeu ! is the coyote falling into the abyss still somewhere in the rusty golden injured archives?
If Sampras were better on red clay, it could have been (ahem) "Pista" Pete Sampras.I’ve always wondered what it must be like to be playing tennis on a court literally named after yourself. You step onto the court and it says Pista Rafa Nadal right there. Surreal feeling I’d imagine, I can’t think of anything like it in other sports.
Lol...
Can you imagine being the opponent? Lol. Playing the guy the court was named after.I’ve always wondered what it must be like to be playing tennis on a court literally named after yourself. Yeah, I just dream about more Djokovic fans saying the 6-1 6-1 boy is better than young Nadal based on beating Nadal who is pretty much retired for 2 years now.You know you want it no matter what you say here.

Djoko fanatics dream of Alcaraz beating Rafa but it wouldn't change the fact that Rafa was better than Alcaraz at the same age. (Rafa had more titles.)Yeah, I just dream about more Djokovic fans saying the 6-1 6-1 boy is better than young Nadal based on beating Nadal who is pretty much retired for 2 years now.
What is your opinion about how often young players are suffering from injuries?I want to see Nadal v Alcaraz here badly this year. The perfect passing of the torch moment on Nadal's own court.
Nadal is only going to play with second serves.Didn't serve so don't get too worked up.
Yeah, he’s really afraid to play in a MS1000 that he’s won a record 11xIs he too afraid of ATP1000 and opted for ATP500?
Nadal did something unimaginable in the men's circuit: being the first to win a Major tournament ten times, and his record there is stratospheric, light years ahead of his competition, his level achieved there is not from this world. Can you imagine being the opponent? Lol. Playing the guy the court was named after.
I think they should really wait till players are retired to do that kind of thing. Same with the statue at Roland Garros. The Big 3 are legends, it’s true, but while active they’re also just players like all the rest. The optics of a tournament naming a court after an active player just aren’t good (what else are they doing to boost the local favorite?).

It's a stadium announcer who introduces Rafa in the video you posted, not the chair umpire. His name is Marc Maury:Its quite the experience to witness the Roland Garros chair umpire introducing Rafa at the beginning of his matches there, and listing out every year he's won it in the past, needing to take a breath twice during the list, and the crowd joining the chorus after like 2011.
Bad example :
Nadal must be very "scared" to see them there. This is good tournament to come back for Rafa.
No djokovic
No sinner
They are really bad for his health going forward. Sadly in RG both will be there.
At this pt in his career, he must be. This is no 2013.Nadal must be very "scared" to see them there.
Yes, 37-year-old Joker and 'chicken legs' on clay are truly "scary rivals" for the Spanish bull.At this pt in his career, he must be. This is no 2013.
I don't know what tennis you watch.Yes, 37-year-old Joker and 'chicken legs' on clay are truly "scary rivals" for the Spanish bull.
Of course, they are players who are quite "scary" to their rivals, not just Nadal.I don't know what tennis you watch.
If you even are tennis fan that is.
But they are top 2 in the rankings. SMFH
Yes its scary for everyone as you said, including Rafa.Of course, they are players who are quite "scary" to their rivals, not just Nadal.
Everything looks pretty standard for Rafa. I can’t see any changes even small ones.Does the FH look slightly different or am I going crazy
Nadal is going to "hide from them" on his favorite surface?Yes its scary for everyone as you said, including Rafa.
So its good if he comes back when they are not around.
Should hire Kyrgios to practice underarm serve.Nadal is only going to play with second serves.
Will he be able to compete against his competition on his favorite surface?
I even say Nole needs to hide from sinner till RG.Nadal is going to "hide from them" on his favorite surface?
Should hire Kyrgios to practice underarm serve.
Nadal is epic AFI’ve always wondered what it must be like to be playing tennis on a court literally named after yourself. You step onto the court and it says Pista Rafa Nadal right there. Surreal feeling I’d imagine, I can’t think of anything like it in other sports.
