11 oz spin friendly racket

I am looking at the TT Warrior and the Head LM Instinct. TW says they are both spin friendly and rates them both high. The Instinct is a tight 18x19 pattern on a 100 sq in head. The TT Warrior is 16x19 on a 107 sq in head.

Has anyone played with both of these to compare them? How can the Instinct be spin friendly with a tight string pattern? I know technique can generate spin. But all things equal I would like to know how these play as compared together.

Is there a quality difference or anything else I need to be aware of as I choose?

Thanks.

I have the TT Warrior, but having said that a guy I know has the Gamma T-5 racquet. Let me start by saying, WOW. The T-5 spins more than the TT Warrior which is saying a lot. The t-5 also is more powerful and is better at the touch slice or the drop shot. However I use the TT Warrior because I can control it a little better, but if you get the chance demo the Gamma T-5. Its one of those racquets that left me saying " There's soo much more out there that is better than the big companies offerings.

do you remember if it was as stable as the TT Warrior

I would say that the TT Warrior has better feel, but the Gamma t-5 has a better power combination. The t-5 is a spin freak, it is soo exceptional at the net, and on volleys. I came back very impressed with it, and i recommend everyone should demo one. The t-5 feels light enough yet solid enough for a plow through effect. It is just like the babolat aerodrive yet 50 bucks cheaper.

coming from your current stick, the m pro 105 UL and the 98 UL are exactly 11oz strung and both are VERY spin friendly. string them in the low 50s or high 40s with a thin poly, and you have a powerful, spinny stick with excellent feeling and control.

i do not use dampeners, and i found the lm instinct and warriors to be harsher due to the stiffening materials in the hoop. the warrior OS is capable of serious spin, while the instinct's spin potential was not all that impressive to me. also keep in mind grip shape. the head will have a highly rectangular grip, while the prince will be squarer. the no tolerance fischer grip shape is in between the two, closer to the prince, IMO. the grip shape of the older red/green m speed fischers is very square, even closer to the prince.

If you can find one, I would highly recommend the Wilson npro surge. I believe the racket was Wilson's attempt to compete with the pure drive, but the npro is slightly lighter at 11 oz, and it doesn't have the "cortex" system. The sparse string pattern (16x19) and light weight makes this the most potent spin racket I've ever used.

You should not compare this racket with the new Ksurge, as they have very little in common.

You may be able to get a deal on the AG300 (non-4D) 16x19. 11oz and 98 headsize. I can generate lots of spin with this thing.

I was wondering how's the sound of it, is it muted?......another thing is the thickness is quite wide for my taste i'm a k90 user and like some users of this stick its too demanding and i'm looking for a lighter racket, I like the HL balance of this stick which some say its 10 pts strung, i like the weight, and the swingweight....i browsed it in TW and i like feedbacks.....how about the thickness, does it affect the speed of your swing......i'm a full swing guy from bh to fh......

I vote for the Babolat Pure Storm (non-tour, non-Ltd). Brilliant frame, extremely stable, excellent for spin...

Swinging w/ it is great. I am also a 'full swinger' and it works great. Very low on power too, I suggest stringing it at 57 ;)

If you have ever played with the prostaff classic 6.1, it has the same body style. Not the weight of the classic but it feels the same.
I play 1hbh and forehand, and I like the fast swing that I can generate lots of spin with power. Right now I have 1 strung with lux alu power pin at 52 and the other with signum pro hextreme at 59
I like the lux....
If you can demo one, go for it.
And you can't beat the price right of it.

My Fischer is spin friendly but I am not good enough to consistently get depth with it. That is why I was looking for a lighter racket. I actually may look at the Turbo Shark as a step up racket for me. Any experience with that stick?

If you are still trying out frames, I have had very good luck the new Wilson Kobra Tour FX. Some people think it knock of the APD, but it has worked great for me. Very stable and good spin IMO.
