I wanted to give some information about my current situation. I played with a player in the club whom I could beat only once in all those passing years. Well, he won again and the result did not change; except one thing: I feel much closer to win. I lost, because I am still not good enough in backhand slice and not fit enough to catch short or wide balls.
By the other words, for the first time I felt that 1hbh slice is an important tool for a club player and helps to have consistent shots. For my backhand side, almost the only problem was that I made unforced errors of slice. I am pretty sure that my 1hbh will be much stronger in time as I practice.
Since my backhand was better during the match, I had the chance to test my fitness level especially in short balls of the opponent. It looks, having more consistent shots on backhand will demand having a better fitness level which I didn't feel the need of so much before. (My backhand was inconsistent enough to be the reason of loss against better players) The exercise bike in the attic must have waited for these days.
I am practising 1hbh slice on the wall. Although practising on court is the best, I think slicing against the wall is not awkward.
Thanks again to all friends for your contribution; your advice for practicing 1hbh slice will be appreciated...
