'23 Vcore 95 stringing instructions

I don't see the stringing instructions posted on the Yonex website for the new vcore 95. I think for MAINS: skip 8H,7T & tie-off 8T. CROSSES: tie-off 6H, 11T or 12T. Anyone have official instructions? XTO 11T I think is preferable, but there is so little clearance for the knot because of the main. XTO 12T has tons of clearance, but is obviously one hole further.

@Sackingsfanatic,

Even if you could/can find the stringing instructions online, I wouldn't necessarily put all my faith in them being correct.
Sure... most of the time they probably are correct, but I've caught enough errors/mistakes over the years to be hesitant in putting too much (blind) faith in them.

The skipped holes are slightly different on the new 2023 V-Core 95.
Previous iterations/generations just had "single skips" (i.e. 8H & 8T), which is very typical of the majority of Yonex frames.
The 2023 retains the "single skip" at the head (8H), however, it now has "double skips" at the throat (7T & 9T).

Now, as far as the tie-off locations go...
If we are to believe that TW actually tied off in the correct locations (in their review video), then (as you had postulated) the mains indeed tie off at 8T (which would be a good thing).

It certainly appears the the top X ties off at 6H and, in the video, the bottom X is tied off at 9T (bottom cross tying off onto the penultimate cross). This isn't a super common place for a bottom X to tie off, but it wouldn't be unheard of either.
Side note: Although it is fairly common (if/when the frame has only "single skips") for the bottom X to tie off onto the 3rd cross from the bottom (11T for 16 mains, and 12T for 18 mains), this is not a typical location when the frame has "double skips" at the same end you're tying off at.
FWIW... although there isn't a ton of clearance to tie at 9T (the 7th main is pretty close), there's a little bit more space than if the tie-off had actually been up at 11T.

Nonetheless, an even better bet (than the TW video) is being self-reliant on how to identify the correct tie-off grommets yourself, rather than relying on (potentially incorrect) third party information.
Hence why I made this video...

Cheers, Wes

Mains skip 8H, 7T, & 9T
MTO 8T XTO 11H & 9T

EDIT: If you don’t have a starting clamp you could also use 6H as the top main tie off.

If you look at the way TW strung their racket they tied the top cross on the outer main, and the bottom cross on the 19th cross. You could clearly use many different tie off locations for either the top and bottom crosses. You could use either a main or a cross string as an anchor for the top cross. IMO it’s better to tie mains to mains and crosses to crosses. So my preferred anchor for the top cross would be the 2nd or 3rd main. Using the 2nd cross puts the knot closer to the clamp but there is only a small length of string between the grommet and the outer main. The 3rd cross for a tie off gives you more room to tie knot but the distance between the clamp and knot is greater unless you string the 2nd cross first. For the bottom cross I’d rather tie off on the 18th cross because it overlaps the grommet break between the 18th and 19th crosses.

G.O.A.T.
That odd tie-off would be understandable. They use it for their current EZone 100L (I think that's the one). I know it's one of their current frames.

Hey guys, just got this racquet and thinking ahead to my first stringing. Some interesting info in here. Some of you mention skipping both 7T AND 9T for the mains, and while the Yonex catalogue (the only place I see official stringing information) only mentions 9T, looking at my racquet and their own diagram in the catalog, it looks like you guys are correct and they omitted that info from some reason.

See page 120 at this link: https://www.yonexitalia.it/download/Catalogo-YONEX-Tennis-2023.pdf

Which also means you can't do a "Yonex loop" to finish the crosses: you need to complete them conventionally (18 > 19 > 20 > tie off).

Don't ask me how I know this :cautious: ...

What is a "Yonex loop"? Do I even want to know?

Anyway, tonight I'm stringing my new (used) Vcore 95 for the first time. At least I shouldn't have to deal with length issues on the mains like I do with my 18x20 Vcore Pro HD (doing a hybrid with Cyclone in the mains).
