Vcore Pro 97: why "start at throat" despite 8 grommets in throat?

The Vcore Pro 97 has 8 grommets / main strings in the throat. I thought this meant one should start stringing from the top as per various resources online (as well as logic), but the official stringing instructions on the Yonex website state:

https://www.yonex.com/us/tennis-stringing-instructions

VCORE PRO 97, VCORE PRO 100, VCORE PRO 100a, EZONE 98, EZONE 98L, EZONE GAME

16 Mains, 19 Crosses,
No Shared Holes

MAINS

Start @ Throat
Skip 8T, Skip 8H
Tie off @ 7H & 11T

CROSSES

Start @ 8H, Last @ 8T
Tie off @ 6H & 11T

Am I misinterpreting this and they mean something else when they say "Start @ Throat" ?

Don’t believe anything you hear and only half of what you see. Do you think you can tie the mains at 7H and 11T, and the crosses at 6H and 11T?

One could interpret that as starting the first main by going through the grommet at the throat thereby starting. If there were six grommets at the throat you would start at the head. I don't have a frame to look at regarding the tie offs, so can't comment on that. One would likewise Yonex would be a reputable source.

The problem is that all racquets on their website say "start at throat", even the ones with 6 mains in the throat. Quite baffling.

@GodlessEndeavor,

You are correct. The Yonex website was incorrect.
The V-Core Pro 97 starts at the Head (it doesn't even matter if you're talking about the 16x19, or the 18x20 iteration. Both have 8 holes in the throat bridge.)

A Stringers Digest, the Klippermate database, manufacturer websites, PDFs, etc. etc. are not completely devoid of mistakes/errors.

When I help fellow stringers, I encourage/teach a much more "self-reliant" approach, where they are then able to determine all the relevant info. on their own.

When handed a completely unstrung and unpainted "mystery frame", they can determine:
(a) whether the mains should start at the Head or the Throat end
(b) how many total mains there should be
(c) how many total crosses there should be
(d) just where the skipped holes should be
(e) where the tie-off locations should be
(f) the total length of string needed (without cutting excessive length [thereby wasting string] or cutting too little [thereby coming up short])

If/when there are 6 holes in the throat bridge, you are supposed to start at the Throat.

That shouldn't be baffling at all.

Yes but the baffling part is that they always say to start at the same place regardless of the number of throat grommets.

It's just wrong, that's all (probably same form copied for all racquets and not adjusted correctly/completely) . Thanks god I have a starting clamp to help me tie-off mains at 11T...

The Yonex site stringing instructions for the VCORE Pro 97 (that’s my frame) did used to say to start at the head (which is correct). I’m certain that when they rebuilt that page, whoever did it just copy-pasted that incorrectly from another racquet.

Starting in the throat is not the only mistake.
