Not sure If I'll be back on here before the games are played and I was going to go favorites covering in both games regardless. Not sure where you pull your lines from but I think I'm far enough away from the O/U to be clear of that and see both being double digit victories.

Chiefs, Cover, Over, 61, CF2
9ers, Cover, Under, 38, CF1

Too late to put my bids in for the pool.
My picks were Saints in NFC and Chiefs in AFC with Saints winning.
Saints are already out, so I was wrong.

Okay, "heart" it is:

AFC: KC, no cover, over, 53 CF2
NFC: GB .................. over, 50 CF1 (as zero is not an option, or one that would be beneficial to me)

Horrible miss on total points, and the only reason I never picked 59 was because the post I copy and pasted to make the picks originally said 59 and I wanted to be a little different.

Anyhow, happy KC won. Titans were a great story, but Mahomes is ridiculous and I wanted to see him in the SB so I'm not really disappointed.

A few less trifectas for 6/7 points but still the majority.

Will have the updated standings later tonight or tomorrow. Thanks for playing. See you in a week or so with some interesting prop bets to go along with the regular SB picks!

Raul_SJ looks locked up for 10 hours by failure to participate for two weeks. Stay tuned, @Feña14 ! If either of the bottom feeders don’t respond upon the final awards announcement, you’re next! Yossarian is nervous though!

So, what are everyone's early thoughts on the SB? The game usually doesn't deliver unfortunately, but I hope this one does because I think the 2 best teams this year are going at it tbh. Baltimore was the #1 seed, but LJ may need another year or two to figure out how to win in the playoffs whereas KC has that bit of experience from last year.

Fascinating matchup in prospect. Head and heart are fighting the internal battle here since I kind of want KC to win (even though I don't really have a favourite team anymore), but I have a feeling that the 49ers will find a way to get it done. Love KC's offensive style and flair with Mahomes at QB, but the 49ers are the more balanced football team IMO. They look more like a typical "SB winning team" to me. Not many weaknesses there, but it looks like the Chiefs D can be scored on, while the 49ers D has been really good so far.

Not a problem when KC can put up 40-50 pts/gm, but I think the SF D will be the best Mahomes has faced yet in his young playoff career. And it probably goes without saying but pressuring Mahomes has to be the key to victory for SF, particularly with a 4 man rush so they don't have to blitz. If he gets all day like he did against the Titans, SF is going to have a long day watching Tyreek Hill sprint past them for 60+ yd TD's. And Mostert probably needs another big game just to keep Mahomes on the sideline as long as possible.

So my early pick is SF, but don't count that as official just yet. :)

I understand the head v heart dilemma, as I went with heart (Packers) over head (49ers), and, well..."head" would have picked it correctly.
I'm not sure if that's the case here, but I'm also rooting for the Chiefs but not sure which way to pick. (Spoiler: Unless Mahones gets injured between now and then, expect me to pick the Chiefs, though this isn't only based on a wish list.)

Going into the postseason, I did think that the Chiefs (once they secured the #2 seed) would get to the Super Bowl - with a very good chance of winning it. The 49ers have proven to be the best in the NFC, and present a lot of problems for all teams. Their D-line may be the best in the game, and their O-line is quite good. They have a terrific running game, great play design, an all-world TE and good receivers who have some speed. Thier QB is, well, good enough. They are very well-balanced. The Chiefs have, quite arguably, the best QB in the NFL (I'm a huge Aaron Rodgers guy, but Mahomes is younger, more mobile now, and can make most of the same types of throws that only Rodgers could) - and Mahomes is surrounded with another all-world TE and a lot of speed. As long as the Chiefs' D can get off the field a few times without surrendering 7 points, I think they can do it.

Gimme the Chiefs. Way too many weapons on offense and the Niners struggle with mobile qbs. The chiefs are a better version of a Seattle team that was half a yard away from sweeping them

packers gave kc some valuable film in the 2nd half - when Rodgers got out of the pocket the sf d looked vulnerable and mahomes is a lot more mobile than Aaron nowadays

jimmy will have to be more than just a game manager to beat KC. They’re a lot better than GB or Min . Granted SF is a lot better than Tenn and Houston

I like kc by 10 or more. I don’t think even the niners will have an answer to Hill Watkins and Kelce. Too many weapons

And I think kc will shut down Mostert like they did Henry

Fatigue made cowards of Tennessee. I do agree KC will limit SF run scheme more than GB. Mostert was running through air. The Honey Badger ain’t air.

34-20 KC is my thoughtful hunch.

It would take effort to be worse than GB was

Jimmy has shown he can be more than a game manager (saints ) but this is a whole different kettle of fish

Exactly. It’s the Henry MO to measure yards after contact. SF, when they are successful on the ground, it’s yards before contact. That won’t happen in Miami. Spags can scheme with the best of them and he has the personnel.

I like the chiefs here as well. The defense has been underrated all year and has played especially well the 2d half of the year.

And KC Offense has no equal especially now that Reid has 2 weeks to prepare them. His track record after bye weeks is phenomal.

Going a day early because the line has been stable for a while plus the next poast will be our separate prop bet pool.

As always, straight up, cover/no cover, O/U and total points. No CF (duh!)

Good luck!

Guessing that I'll be no more prescient in a few days than I am now, I'm jumping in, with three hours sleep, about to watch Rafa-Thiem, or is it "Team Rafa"?

KC, cover, over, 57.

As I am first in, and the stakes are so high, I petition our commissioner/runaway leader to allow (only) me a CF of 32, based solely on: a) my desperation as I trail Stringy by that preposterous amount;. b) the uniform # of the greatest RB ever, (Jim Brown)though I wasn't quite old enough to view his career; and c) the sum of Kobe Bryant's uniform #s.

Not sure how you want the props. But I figured it be easier to just give you the result I predict. It’s a lot to go through so if you want it a different way and I don’t get a chance to update it just ignore, I won’t be mad.
