A two handed backhand that is actually poetry in motion

There are the usual candidates with strong two handers who are more solid or hit with more power but this is unique stuff in my opinion; some of the shotmaking (inside out - this shot does not exist!, cross court into service box and flicks) is unreal. Nalbandian's backhand really was a lot like Sampras's serve or Federer's forehand (or McEnroe's touch for older viewers) in that he could do anything with it.

The inside out backhand is a shot that definitely exists and it has since the 1970's. I can provide a long list of examples. As for as what you are showing on your clip, His is exceptionally exquisite in timing, balance, power and disguise . If I had to pick a female equivilant offhand - its was Martina Hingis! Lethal weapon to any part of the court - from any part of the court.

one of the few two handers that actually looked 'cool.' btw the baghdatis clip is funny, their games look like mirror images of each other, which they kind of were.

So much variety and timing on this 2hbh, you can actually enjoy watching which is rare for 2hers.

Also Mecir, Hingis, maybe Kucera. More recently Nishikori had a nice looking as well as efficient two-hander.

Nishikori has an underrated backhand imo. Dimitrov said himself that if he were to create a player, Nishikori’s backhand is the one he would choose. He could do literally anything with that wing.
