Advice on used machines

For those that are looking for stringing machines and are considerering used I would suggest that you contact Gamma and Alpha (and other companies). They often have used machines that they will sell pretty discounted. When I was in the market for one I was offered a Alpha blu-dc + for about $700 and a Gamma 5003 for $600. I would have taken the gamma but I had a significant gift certificate somewhere else so I had to buy new, and I got a Revo 4000.

Good advice that applies to me. Thanks Power Game. I emailed Mark at Alpha. I'll probably hear from him on Monday. I also emailed Herb at Wise. Herb got back to me right away (even though it was Saturday) and said he only has new. It was worth a try though. Thanks again.

Wow. It's Sunday in the morning and Mark at Alpha got back to me! Very impressive. He said he doesn't have a used Revo and said they are tough to come by. I'm thinking about a Revo/Wise combo so I also asked him about a Revo without the tension head. He said he can sell me a new Revo without the tension head at a reduced price, which now makes the Revo/Wise combo verrry tempting indeed.
