An underrated match from last decade :- don't miss it

Finally USTA YouTube Channel has uploaded it.

Karen khachanov playing the match of his life, hitting the cover off the ball, otoh nadal is unwilling to give it up.
The combo results in a furious battle, each game is energy zapping and full of lungbusting rallies, its a shame we didn't get a fifth set.

*back when khachanov really looked promising and his FH looked to be one of the most lethal weapons on tour.

Watched this match live. Khachanov was such a good future prospect! After the USO he went on to beat Novak en route to his Bercy 1000 title. Look at where he is now, sad.

Got married wayyy too early, a problem shockingly common to a lot of Next Genners

Indeed a battling performance from nadal against an opponent who was redlining.
Thanks for sharing gentleman, I didn't know this gem existed on YT.
Stay blessed, Good night.

I can't exactly remember the match thread, but it sounds like a match where allegiances changed dramatically throughout the entire 4.5 hours played. Extremely two faced towards Karen, hell, I probably called him a mug at some point lol... Yes there was the double fault meltdown whilst serving for the 2nd set and in the 3rd set TB, but everything else was just so damn good. Definitely one of my fav four set matches ever.

A lot of us were thinking Karen had come a long way and were interested in seeing where he goes from there, of course he won Paris beating four top ten opponents, but not much worth mentioning afterwards. 2019 was truly disappointing to witness, IIRC, my vote for most disappointing player that year. He never seems to have an easy match these days, every time I watch him it's a slug fest.
