...And Justice for All

After much debate and study, clearly
this is Metallica's greatest, heaviest and darkest album!

followed ever so closely by

2 Puppets
3 Lightning
4 Kill 'em all
5 Black album

rest of them.

I liked Metallica pre-justice for all, so puppets was my favorite. Just I liked iron maiden pre-seventh son, so powerslave was my favorite

I like Journey in the early Stages before they got too trippy
and Iggy and the Stooges when they played supporing act to
Barry Manilow ( or was it Liberace..?)

As for Mentalicca, never heard of them.

Metallica's ode to classic prog groups like Yes, Rush, and Deep Purple. "Blackened" is particularly rife with unconventional time signatures with several alternating measures of 7/4, 6/4 and 5/4.

i like their thrash of kill em all as number 1, just raw, fast, love it.
and justice for all second. that was a great little bit of time for thrash metal, ajfa, rust in piece, persistence of time, seasons in the abyss, all released around a similar time. all cracking albums puppets next, classic album, disposable heroes, leper messiah, battery, awesome stuff.
ride the lightning 4th but still a good album, escape is probably my favourite along with trapped under ice and fight fire with fire.
death magnetic fifth ahead of the black album, the less said about metal in the 90s the better, the less said about the 90s the better.

Me too, though I'm partial to 'Ride the Lightning'. 'Justice' is a fantastic album, though. 'One' was incredibly popular when I was in high school...seems like I watched the video on MTV every day before school. Glad I never grew my hair out back in the day.
