Any Opinons on Alpha Firecable?

I just received a free pack of this and was thinking about having it installed in my fiances babolat PD OS today. she has a big macth on Thursday. Has anyone ever use this stuff? What does it play like, I want to give her a little more power and moer spin than what she currently plays with.

good point, i totally forgot to mention that. we have gamma tnt in there right now, 16L, which is a good string.

i just had it done because she has her championship match tomorrow night. I went ahead and went with tnt again but in 17L this time and had it strung tighter as well. If I had put some new kind in there and she gets beat then guess who would get the blame?

any string that had the word cable in it doesn't sound very comfortable to me.

string it wit what she had before so she wont loose her feeling. After the match, change it to whatever you want.

good advice, thats exactly what i did. just a little better set up. she has a hard full swing and supplies plenty of power but i wanted to reduce that grommet effect her racket has and give her a little more control...

Firecable is not nearly as powerful as TNT. I'd drop the tension about 5# if you're going to use it. I have it (as the mains in a hybrid) in one of my rackets now. It's different. It feels low-powered when you really hit out, but a little springy on touch shots (when you're not really swinging hard). Makes it sound as if it's really elastic up to a point, but it reaches the end of its elasticity really quickly. Cool lime green color though, and thin gauge.

thanks steve, i got this string free when i wrote alpha and requested a string logo template. this string is a bright gold color.

as a side note, we went to the club tonight and hit the ball machine and she was ripping the ball and putting a ton more spin on her shots. i try and tell her how importnat her equipment is but she just wants to talk about cute outfits. she has changed her tune after tonight...
