Any Pure Strike Tour players compare it with the Gen 4 Strike 98 16x19?

G.O.A.T.
I was wondering if any long-time users of the Gen 3 Pure Strike Tour have played with the Gen 4 Pure Strike 98 16x19 and compared it. There is no Tour version in G4 but the G4 Strike 98 seems to have similar swingweight even if the static weight is less.

Have any long-time Pure Strike Tour (Gen 3] players moved to other racquets? If so, which model did you move to and are you using it in stock version or customized?

I’ve almost moved over to the v14 pro staff 97. The strike tour keeps calling me back because of its free power. I’ve got the pro staff 97 up to like 360g with a lot of lead in the upper hoop under the bumper, so that evens out the power discrepancy a bit. I’m a Wilson guy at heart, the pro staff and Wilson feel is simply home base for me. The strike tour remains a more viable option for the modern baseline game and unless you’re like me and come forward often I’d likely still defer to the strike tour as general advice

I’m an all-court player in singles, but often finish +1 shots from the baseline and don’t need to come to net too much. In doubles, I come to net whenever possible. I actually have always loved volleying with the PST both in Gen 1 and 3. Then again I have rarely disliked volleying with any racquet above 11.5 ozs.

If you’re a player who deploys a lot of short patterns of play, the pro staff is worth a look because of the higher degree of precision from that string bed. I feel like I can hit a dime with the pro staff moreso then the strike tour because that stringbed is so reliable. Wilson really nailed the string spacing with that one imo. Otherwise I’d look at the gravity pro as another great option imho for all court play / reliability in the stringbed for swinging out on groundies .. also Wilson blade pro 18 mains; that’s an underrated stick

Thanks for the suggestions. I’m not looking to change sticks as I love my PST! Just more of a curiosity.
