According to a thread in the last week or so, wilson buys their string from babalot. I use BDE because it is a little cheaper. I have been thinking of try the Klip Legend gut, it has been getting alot of positive talk this past year.

ive only used bde ralleye so far in hybrid with polyester (to keep cost down and for durability). it plays like a dream and has lasted me about 2 months where normal quality multis lasted me about 2-3 days tops. gut is just far superior in value and in playability.

I am in the middle of an extended natural gut playtest. I have currently strung Wilson, Gamma, and Klip Armor Pro. All 17g at 62lbs. Klip has been the standout so far for touch, spin, control. I've had the strings in since July 6th. Very little fraying on the Klip (and the Gamma.) Moderate on the Wilson. I estimate 4-6 hours play on each. Next I'll be stringing Pacific and VS.

(As an aside, I have a set of Wilson Natural and a set of VS Touch in 16g. on the For Trade board.)

Although a lot of people will tell you the strings are identical, I think that although Wilson's strings are made by Babolat (VS), that there is still a difference. I think the coating on the VS is better helping the string last longer.
By they way your original post is not clear that you only wanted a VS against Wilson comparison.

The most durable gut I've tried so far is Klip Armour Pro. It has a special coating that protects it from the elements as well as fraying. It seems to be considerably more durable than other guts and synthetic guts. THe feel is different though...you may like it or you may not....it is stiffer and slightly lower-powered, lots of bite and possibly slightly more spin, but a little less pocketing, softness, and power.

I will be trying some Pacific Tough Gut next which also has a protective coating.
