Are all pro's racquets customized

Just wanted to know if all pro's racquet's are customized and is there an advantage to using a customized racquet? I'm thinking to get a racquet to customize but not quite sure what racquet is best for customizing and does anyone have a baseline for customizing? thanks.

the point of customizing a racket is to make it fit your needs. im pretty sure all pros have some leadtape on their rackets. if a stock racket is perfect for you, why change it? it won't make you look like a better player when you're struggling w/ a racket w/ leadtape on it compared to hitting fine w/ it without lead tape.....

Any racket, in general, can be customized. The advantages depends on the person using it.

You have to find "your preferred" specs first, which are weight, swingweight, balance and feel (flex, etc.) that will be suitable for YOUR style of play. After that you can begin with cutomization.

I took me a few months to get my Redondo right. Changed the leather to synthetic grip, add an overgrip, total weights added to original racket: 13 + 3 grams -- 13 for lead: 3 in the hoop, 10 in handle; 3+ grams for foam inside the racket. Balance now at 11 pts. HL. Great stuff for MY style of play.

What's the difference between the weight of the racquet and the swingweight?

the static weight is the actual weight of the racket. so basically, if you put the racket on a scale, the measurement that pops out would be the static weight.

swingweight is in simple words, how heavy a racket swing. a racket w/ low swingweight will swing extremely light, and a high swingweight will swing very heavy and require much more effort (although it is rewarding if you know how to handle it). basically, the heavier the racket is at the head, the higher the swingweight and the other way around.

im positive that a pro can play just as well with any racquet. its more a matter of what they're used to and how they prefer their sticks to play though.

Well i think if customizing my racquet to smash through the ball better i would see what i could do to make it happen. Anyone have a baseline on what customizations to start with by the way?

Choosing a particular string and tension, even adding an overgrip or vibration dampener would fall under customization.
