Any racket, in general, can be customized. The advantages depends on the person using it.
You have to find "your preferred" specs first, which are weight, swingweight, balance and feel (flex, etc.) that will be suitable for YOUR style of play. After that you can begin with cutomization.
I took me a few months to get my Redondo right. Changed the leather to synthetic grip, add an overgrip, total weights added to original racket: 13 + 3 grams -- 13 for lead: 3 in the hoop, 10 in handle; 3+ grams for foam inside the racket. Balance now at 11 pts. HL. Great stuff for MY style of play.
