Are players, who lose to Pella and Tsonga, better than Zverev?

Suppose, there's a player, aged about 22 - 23. He loses to guys like Pella, Tsonga, Goffin, etc.

He is literally thrashed by a 34 year old.

Does this 22 - 23 year old, have more potential than Zverev? Or even 20 year old Kyrgios, maybe?

This guy can beat middle aged Ferrer, and can beat weakdal in a very tight match.

So, he's the future no. one? He has a good attitude. Surely, being good natured, can make you the best. Maybe in his late 20s, he'll achieve his god like peak?

He also has a great work ethic, according to many analysts, who know him personally.

Does, he have more potential than 18 year old Zverev? Can he surpass, the epic Tsonga?

This is just a hypothetical question.

We all know you're talking about Thiem, and we all know Thiem is going nowhere so yes you're correct.

I doubt Zverev will have a good career either, though. Maybe he picks up a Masters late in his career or something like that.

I predict Thiem to be the next Zeballos and Zverev to be the next Monaco.

Tsonga and Goffin were ranked higher than him when he lost. What's the problem ?

He can get to top 10 with a couple of good shows.

And Simon, Cilic, Dimitrov are ranked higher than the 18 year old. Zverev is ranked in the 50s, but still beats these guys. Let Thiem square off with Zverev on hc, and I won't be surprised if Thiem loses. It would be close, even right now.

Let's wait for 4 more years, and then see his potential. Zverev is already playing like top 10.

Zverev has more weapons no doubt. But Thiem has won 5 titles including an ATP 500. Big difference in achievements at this time.

True, but Zverev is only 18. If, I were to make an educated guess, when Zverev reaches Thiem's age, he'll actually be a gs contender.

You are bitter with Thiem. He is not a big match player yet,but he is improving, that is important.
I don't see that much potential myself, but who knows,he may bloom late. After all nobody bet on Stan, who only had a short period as a top tener in
2008,before breaking through in 2013. Not sayin that Thiem is following Stan's steps(although they are pretty similar in style of play and career up to Thiem's age)

I see a lot of potential in Thiem. I see so much potential, that I predict in 5 years, Thiem may attain even current Nadal's level. Yes, that's how great he is. We may have goat potential, here. I might be aiming too high though.
