Watching Federer's reaction after he won made me feel so good for him. The look on his face even still now as I'm typing this has me so proud of him. Congrats Roger it was a long time coming and you deserve it. One can only hope to feel how you feel now being on top of the world with everyone screaming your name and a baby on the way. Wow. Now good luck to Rafa at the USO for his career slam.

Great post MichaelNadal. I wish all fans behaved this way when they congratulate other players and not just their own idols. I have been here for a short time but most of your posts are full of class.

I hope Nadal makes a quick recovery from his injury and his knees get well soon. It will be awful if he can't defend his trophy which he worked so hard to win. I am sure Federer fans would return this favour when Nadal wins the US open.

Anyways great post and always humble just like Nadal.

^Get well quick Rafa. I want another "greatest match in history" at Wimbledon. If Rafa wins 10-8 again in the fifth I'd be much happier as a tennis fan to see great tennis again.

Great Jmac interview as well. Honestly I don't know how much I wanted Fed to win this, It was impossible to not root against him after Rafa lost but man did he break me down today. Im glad I woke up to witness history. So ready for the rest of the season :) Also thanks for your comment fedtastic, as a guy that just watched the Star Wars movies for the first time just this month, I love your avatar.

i couldnt help but cry when i saw feds reaction after winnng the last point and also when the swiss anthem was played. Im so happy for him.

I was happy Roger beat Robin in 3. I wanted him to beat the guy that took Rafa out.

(And of course happy Roger made history. He seems both thrilled and grateful - I said somewhere else that I think it meant more to him because he's had to work so hard and wait so long for it.)

Please get well quick, Rafa.

Yeah, its ridiculous that someone like me, who doesn't even like Fed, actually teared up in those last few moments. I think for me it wasn't about watching Fed per say, it was about watching a man who wanted something so badly finally achieve it.

Fed is GOAT, so he's still capable of playing lethal ball, even in his dotage. The difference is, he used to played brilliantly all of the time. Nowadays, it's sporadic and rare.

While Rafa was struggling he jumped off the bandwagon hooting and hollering, "Rafa is done." Now that Rafa is starting to look good again, as predicted by the astrology, he's back on the cart bumping years old fan threads.

I lose respect quick for the fair-weather types.

Nadal. Sucks. I'm not going to pretend to be delusional, he might be #10 but again that just shows the shape the ATP is in. Dude is literally lucky to be beating Fognini these days. It is what it is. Constant loss after loss after bad loss after easy loss after miss, after UE after beating, after beating, what will it take for the last of you to admit he's done? It's been a year and a half since he did anything meaningful.

Bertie B has a point though. MichaelNadal may have always been a fan but he was a fairweather fan and definitely wasn't standing with his guy through thick and thin which is what a true fan does. Yes MN is happy and fully behind Rafa when he's doing well and posts a lot of great stuff but I have to admit he disappointed me when Rafa was down.

MN is the number one Nadal fan on this site despite vernonbc's attempt to rest the crown away.;) His play was pathetic for most of last year and as a true fan of tennis MN called it as he saw it.
