Ash Barty/Coco Vandeweghe denied chance to speak after winning maiden slam so the men could start.

Yes, well, sometimes you have to follow the rules ... as Ramos would advise.

And the rules would mean that a proper ceremony is held.

It is a slight to both doubles and to women, equally!

I think we can all agree that ESPN or the USTA just made a mess of the entire US Open. Men's matches lasting until 2 Am is still a burr in my side. The US Open is the only grand slam Americans can watch in real time but we have jobs and they usually require getting up in the wee hours of the morning. The entire production was just a mess.

Tennis is a problem to schedule at the best of times. But there was a twenty minute game in the men's final! Maybe they could blow a horn at ten minutes and toss a coin?

Sorry, disagree.

If watching on TV I guess you can just tape it.

In person it was a lot of fun and while there are always things they could improve they did get many things right and some things they improved (a not exhaustive list): (1) expanded walkway from East Gate to South Plaza made a huge difference in navigation, (2) the security lines to get in were nearly non-existent this year. They really moved people in fast, (3) new Armstrong feedback (not TV camera angles but in person watching) was generally very positive though there were complaints about the looooooong walk from courtside seats up the stairs and (4) no giant sized photo of A. Zverev by the Grandstand. :)
