GGL really tuffed it out against Serra ... might be in a bit more form, but gulby can get there fast ... s/b a battle

Golubev has a beautiful 1HBH :)

Golubev takes set one 6-3 over Soderling

- - -

Golubev up 3-1 now over Sods in set #2

4-1

Looks like another potential upset

The BH winners from Golubev in this match have been insane!

4-2

He appears to use a less extreme grip as well (possibly continental) and hits the ball very flat off the BH side

5-2 Golubev

this is the first time since stuttgart that i've seen golubev in this kind of form ... he holds 5-2 in the second, looking unstoppable atm

2 MP's on Sod's serve

This has been the best 1HBH display I've seen for a long time.

3rd MP

Nice win from Golubev! 6-3, 6-2

Man, if anybody wants to see an incredible 1HBH display, watch this match!

no kidding!! was that a bh on the back half of the line that soderling stopped the match to challenge? wow ... just wow Andrey was like a surgeon with that BH scalpel .... Sod was a bit stunned I'd say

next for Golubev w/b Ferrer ... woot that s/b hot!

Did Gulbis just smash two rackets on back to back points? I seen him smash one, then he lost the next point and I heard a big bang as my feed cut away at the end of the set. :)

Garcia-Lopez (v. Gulbis) just took set one in a TB

doesn't surprise me ... even tho gulby beat ggl on indoor hard in 2008 ... GGL seems to me to be more of a fighter now than when I first saw him play. He's got that spanish fighter thing goin on now, and gulby looked a bit distracted (as he can be) in the first, even tho he was serving well.

5-2 Golubev

It appears to be continental (based on the location of his index finger and the angle of the frame) or very mild eastern.

Very, very nice match from Nieminen. He was so dominant from the backcourt with great court coverage, BB just had no chances. As a Finn it's nice to see our number one player back on the level he was a few years ago. :)

Agreed, good to see Jarkko playing at this level. Hopefully he stays aggressive and moves well in tomorrow's final. No pressure, nothing to lose against Nadal (don't think Garcia-Lopez will make it to the final).

From the position of the racquet in the takeback it looks to me he uses an eastern grip. Definitely not continental.
